Her first love was Wang Yu, but at the end she confessed her love to the emperor, so I guess she loved them both :)
She had Maha with Wang Yu after they engaged in the first half. Then, Nyang had Ayu with the emperor when she was a concubine (second half).

From what i remember, Li Wen Zhong died after returning from Yan Zhen's house. His death was also inevitable. It's just that the editing was confusing but that fact was said by one of the characters.
