watched the first half of the first episode high and their expressionless faces and odd haircuts scared me. It was like dolls came to life, very uncanny. tried to finish the episode the next day and still didn’t like it, would’ve been better as an anime where the expressions and visuals would’ve made more sense.
This episode was... not that good. Aside from Mark and Kit I pretty much watched everything at 2x speed. And it…
i was really hoping phai would be a long lost brother or something because while i don't really care about any ship with thanu, saendee is the CUTEST and i just want him to be in a happy relationship with phai. shoehorning in /another/ potential relationship between a high school student and a college student is just...not my cup of tea
every time jack and koh post up my brain is just yelling KISS! KISS! KISS! like, they're both so desperate for a relationship why don't they just...date each other? can you imagine a competitive couple like that though? "i'm gonna take you on the best date ever!" "ohoho not if i take you on one better!" am i the only one totally confused at the hints of thanu/phai??? i really thought they were going to set it up so thanu/wayu happens, but nope, they decided to put someone who's old enough to be in his third year of uni with a....high schooler. not a fan of college/high school relationships in the first place, tbh. i was also REALLY rooting for phai/saendee cause saendee is absolutely adorable. while i don't mind the number of couples, and being able to keep up with each storyline is actually really fun for me, i don't see much of a purpose for the swimmer/tutor relationship. every other character fits within the narrative and affects the story, but those two boys don't really interact with the core story at all. they interact once with the other high schoolers but after that, they're not very relevant.
you could see in "he she it" that jeff and gameplay have /palpable/ chemistry but it's not shining through as well in this show.... the story is sweet and i've enjoyed watching it but the progress is very slow.
also koh: *looks like he's about to go in for a kiss"
