Title General's Lady Spoiler
Can someone tell me if the General's lady is pregnant? I just finished episode 17 and it ended before revealing…
I was wondering too what the Doctor said in ep17, in was a cliffhanger. But I read that they were not allowed to sleep together for the meantime, and the pregnancy was found out at ep23. I’m waiting for ep18 sub version to see what really happens.

I watched Taiwanese Drama way back 2008. My first Taiwanese Drama is Fated to Love You, the original version of You Are My Destiny. Then I got hooked with It Started with a Kiss and They Kiss Again and became a big ArJoe Shipper (LoL, sadly they didn't end up together). Among Taiwanese Dramas that I watched, I can't remember if I liked it or not but since I finished them so maybe I used to liked them:
- Just You
- Refresh Man
- Inborn Pair
- Love or Bread
- Love or Spend
- The Rose
- Hana Kimi
- Drunken to Love You
- Meteor Garden
- And others I forgot already...
If I remembered correctly, Taiwanese drama is more popular than Kdrama before. Meteor Garden is a big hit Internationally when it was shown around 2002 and so on (?). And fans before used to post more in asianfanatic forum than soompi.
And to add, Taiwanese drama for me has the best Manga Adaptation.

His mom died so fast. They should have let her pay for her sins (or maybe her death is a payment already) and apologized to Pan. I don't like how Nin's character is still the same, she is still annoying even in Ep14 though I can see that they are pushing love line with Tum.
And Pol is alone for 6 years, that was big time lapsed for a drama.
What I realized with a lakorn, when ML tried to be far away and be alone, they always forgot to shave... LoL

This lakorn is too much for me, I didn’t sign up for too much angst. And its official, Pol is number one on my list, cruel ML.
On Tra Barb See Chompoo Aug 31, 2020
I really admire Kiew’s patience and Peat just joined the line up of cruel Pra’ek in my list. This thai drama somehow reminds me of MHIL, the background instrumental song is the same as well as the house used.

Thank you for appreciating the beauty of Myanmar. I'm not satisfied with the flashback scenes, too. Some are not…
Hi there neighbor! I am from Philippines...
Honestly, I have a lot of frustrations with the drama. Like, I want to edit it myself to put the missing pieces all together. But I still love it, still my fave for this year.
- I so agree with you of showing his mean cruel actions as a flashback, aside for that, they should have also show a flashback of Ep3, when T&M played by the beach and Moie is too afraid in the water. Atleast, Thien will realized he's the cause of Moie's aquaphobia.
- Regarding Myanmar scenes, I like what the production did, showing all the beautiful sceneries of Myanmar though in reality it is impossible. But since this is drama, some impossible becomes possible. I even read one comment that maybe Moie & Thien studied at Hogwarts, they are able to teleport from one place to another in Myanmar. Through this drama, Myanmar is now on my plan to go list.

Fullhouse and kiss Me Thai version are my first Thai dramas. Then next is U-Prince, kiss the series, princess hours Thai then I stopped watching Thai drama after You Are My Destiny and resumed recently because of My Husband In Law (superlike this lakorn). Since I keep on rewatching MHIL, it’s hard for me to listen to another language. I realized I can only concentrate with two different languages so I have to choose between Thai & Chinese drama and pair it with Kdrama. So now, I am on hiatus from Chinese drama

Although I rated this a 7.5 I really enjoyed this but I felt the writing was realllllllyy messy in certain parts…
LoL. I also have so many unanswered questions and I just make a scenario out of my head. But I still love-love this drama. And when I am rewatching the first episodes (ep1-7) I am always like, Moie should leave Thien.. LoL. Ep3 is heartbreaking, not only the part when she cries with her mom but the umbrella scene in the rain is a tearjerker.
- I wonder what happened to the pets too. Maybe Aunt Jee and Aunt Phrapa are taking care of them.
- Thien's friend Nott and Chet are not together. Nott has a foreigner GF Cathy
- They want to show that Thien can also give his life for Moie so they made the kidney donation looks like more dramatic.
- Thien liking her from the beginning, this one is a little bit confusing since they weren't able to show more of Thien's POV. And some of his actions are contradicting, his words is opposite of what he does. But it is apparent that he cares for her since ep1 (scene on saving Snow and Ohyua), ep2 (buying her bandage for her wound), even the hacking part, Thien is eager to get the files back so he can plea for Moie's light punishment, sending her to Dawei instead. Good thing on Thien, though he knew earlier that Moie likes him, he didn't avoid her. Also, he shows some slight jealousy early on (ep2 and everytime he speaks with Kob). He did not want to get married to Moie maybe because he has an image of a perfect woman to be his wife and he thinks of Moie as total opposite (she looks like a kid and clumsy to his eyes).
- The scene in the book is more detailed but not much difference from the drama. Moie went to coffee shop also to do the hacking (did not mentioned nearby their house coz in the book she did not buy the bday cake) but Thien made his men followed her not only Sathit but a lot of his men. So though the Hammoc team tried be positioned in a certain way and be separated, Thien still found them. Then when the download terminated there is direct message "I found you"

LOL.. Obsession might be the right word for us who can't move on from this drama. This is also the first lakorn that I livestream. I downloaded Ch3 app for this. And I can't delete the raw versions even though I already saved the subbed vids. And for those scenes that they weren't able to put in the right place, example Tien following Moie after the Thada meeting, him going to Dawei because he wants to protect Moie, I was like ok Tien has a lifetime to tell Moie what happened that day and what things he did for her. LMAO. I tried a different drama but at the end of the day it always ends up with MHIL... Still stuck with this lakorn

Their chemistry is so good but I stopped watching at the end because it was getting kinda boring and I wasn’t…
It took me a lot of courage to watched the last two episodes. I have health issue and very relatable to Moie. The saddest part are at 2nd half of ep14 and 1st half of ep15. You can skip to the last half of ep15 as it is not dramatic anymore.

Honestly, there is a lot of loopholes with the drama. As I keep on rewatching, I discovered more and more, lmao. I feel like I'm playing detective decoding it. But I still love-love MHIL and still my favorite drama as of this time.
Whenever they tried to divert from the book, the inconsistency happens. A great example is the timeline:
March 29, 2019 - They got married, after 4 to 5 months they went to Dawei to work that is probably July or August but then they celebrated Tien's birthday in Ep6, Tien's birthday is October 1. When Moie got her prescription when she's preggy, her doctor's appointment is April 12, 2562 (2019). I get it that they want to change direction from the book to make it more dramatic but this tiny bits of information should also be considered. BTW Moie's pregnancy and Tien's bday celebration are not in the novel.
I am still not moving on from this lakorn, I still re-watched random episodes at bedtime.

You, @jumpthefence, and me all need emotional therapy man. Although the story was by no means perfect. The chemistry…
@areallyloudfangirl Lol.. I even tried watching Mark's another drama Kleun Cheewit, I was in the 1st part of ep1 when i dropped it. MHIL is really a gem, we can't really move on from Tien and Moie. I almost memorized the Burmese prayer. I'm still laughing like crazy while re-watching them.
