Title Love for Love's Sake Spoiler
In the final episode I was really confused why they didn't see eachother when they were in the same building?…
When myung ha was able to go back to the game, it was shown the moment he woke up that the system was still synchronizing the changes so I feel like it was only finished on the day they met.

Title Bad Buddy Spoiler
Since I keep seeing wrong narratives regarding the cause of the rivalry between Pat and Pran's families in the novel, I created this thread. This may somehow explain why Pran's mother acted that way during the scene when he talked to Pat and his father. (refer to ep 6 part 1)

This is based on my recollection of the novel so pls correct me if I missed anything. While this may be a MAJOR spoiler, there is a high possibility that the plot is changed based on how the series is progressing so take this as a grain of salt. Forgive me if I have any grammar errors as I am not fluent in English. I'll try to summarize the story as short as possible.

In the novel, it was stated that the root cause of the rivalry was a misunderstanding that Pat's parents created.

It was seen in the series (and also in the novel) that both Pat and Pran's businesses were engaged in the same industry.

A long time ago, it was Pat's family business that was thriving but when Pran's parents moved to the same village and started a business similar to Pat's, they started going downhill because all of the big projects were won by Pran's parents. Both families used to be on good terms, they used to share some trade secrets but it started to go bad during the economic depression that happened during that time. The situation heavily impacted both of them but mainly Pat's family business because of the lack of projects they are getting. Pat's parents were at the extreme lowest point of their life at that time. Their relatives turned back on them and they were unable to pay their employees, thus causing them to resign. They were barely affording the food they needed in a day. It came to the point that Pat's father was on the verge of taking his own life but then it was prevented because Pat's mother revealed that she is pregnant with Pat. The severity of the situation led to Pat's father lowering his pride for the sake of saving the company his father entrusted to him. He asked Pran's parents if he could borrow some money for their business but he was denied. This started the fight between the two families. Pat's parents started a rumor that Pran's family used them to gain their trade secrets and to go up the ladders, even went to the extremes like sending someone just to destroy Pran's parents' business. This was based on the fact that even though they got all of the big projects and was "earning" despite the situation, they failed to lend a hand to Pat's family when they were the one who helped them during the time they were still establishing their name in the industry. Later on, it was revealed that the reason why Pran's parents denied it is they were also at risk of losing the company. They were taking projects at break-even or even at a loss just to secure their future projects for their client.

Years later, Pat's parents' business was able to go back on their position as they received help from Punch's parents. Punch is Pat's fiancée in the novel. This is also a long story but the bottom line is, Pat's dad, due to indebtedness and also to separate Pat from Pran, forced him to marry Punch. (I highly doubt this is gonna be adapted based on how we are progressing with the series).

So in conclusion, this rivalry started because of Pat's parents, especially his father. He was so consumed by the rejection of help by Pran's parents that instead of communicating the reason why they did it, he assumed the worst of them. As much as I understand that he was not at his best mental state during that time, it does not guarantee his hostile action toward Pran's parents. They got no responsibility for Pat's family business downfall.

If we relate the reasons for their rivalry in the novel to the conversation Pat, his father, and Pran's mother had in ep 6 part 1 when Pat's father said

"What kind of person are you?"

We can see that Pran's mother looks so offended. Then, she replied like this.

"Oh, Do you think you are so great? Do you want me to say it out loud?"

Even before this scene, Pran's mother said something like "Or maybe he came because he can't stand you anymore?"

My interpretation of this is that Pran's mother wants to point out Pat's father's attitude. In the novel, he is an arrogant father. His words are the law, even Pat's mother can't do anything but obey them. She wants to spill how dirty Pat's father is for setting them up as a family who deceives people to gain something.

Let me know what you think guys. Let's discuss while we wait for EP.7
