This has to be the best BL of the year. We needed a series with real problems that don't feel forced. And not to mention that all the characters feel so genuine! I'm not ready to let them go in two more Saturdays :(
god i LOVE this serie. I love the personalities of all the characters, but especially Duang's. Here he showed us that he is not only extroverted but also mature and assertive in his actions.
And can we talk about the sofa scene? I think it's been a LONG time since I've seen that kind of chemistry in a BL. The conversation, the confession, the kiss, EVERYTHING makes sense. The work that Teetee and Por are doing is incredible.
Episode 10 might have one of the worst endings I've seen lately in BLs. I'm fed up with them building good plots and developing them well only for everything to be resolved thanks to the magic of the time skip at the end.
This series had such good and complex characters, and even though they were all walking red flags, they at least deserved better.
What bothers me the most is that it's always OffGun's series that promise too much and don't quite deliver. After Not Me, practically the same thing happens with all their series.
what pissed me most is that the episodes are so short and yet it still feels like we're not going anywhere.
i understand that the book is quite fast-paced and somewhat nonsensical, but at the same time, it feels like we're watching filler scenes instead of the important ones.
i don't know if I'd call it a complaint, but it seems unfair that while other series have parts that are at least 20 minutes long, they only get 9 to 12 minutes at most. it's like everyone behind the show is sabotaging it and tbh Seakeen deserves much better :/
I was ready for VanFarm as ship but tbh, after 8 episodes and especially after the last two I think they should just be friends. Van is turning Farm into a version of himself that he hates, and it only looks like it's going to end in his heartbreak.
It's so sad bcs they had incredible potential as a couple, but it was ruined as soon as they started dating :/
Everyone who complains about In saying that he creates unnecessary drama, is cause they really haven't understood the character at all. He is very complex and has suffered from VERY serious abandonment traumas. Even though he has the most understanding boyfriend in the world, these things don't just go away overnight.
how can u say F4M never knew he wanted when he's been wanting Chian for the longest but Chian kept letting him…
Actually, I think you're the one with the selective memory.
I said with Bua that what he did was wrong, but you have to understand that his environment is much more complex than anyone else's. His parents are absent-present and they fight in front of him, it is obvious that he just wants attention and yes, everything he did with Chian was wrong but it was a defense mechanism, he clings to everything good that happens to him without distinguishing if it is healthy or not (clear proof is Moo). But as I said in my last comment, yes, it was wrong and he admitted his mistakes. He even apologized to F4M, cut all ties with Chian, and began to improve himself.
Now, I don't think things with Baabin are like you say that he lied to stalk his crush because we don't really know the context of that, it's just your way of seeing the things that 'Baabin' did wrong. And tbh, I think he was just acting like someone in love, and you can see in the series how he falls out of love with F4M until he considers him just his friend. In the last episodes, we can see how he's conflicted by knowing so much about Bua and overthinks what they do because he starts to have feelings. Comparing what Chian did with the two of them is wrong no matter how you look at it, in the bed scene you can see that Baabin really wanted to be there and experiment with Bua and he got carried away by his feelings and then he got a reality check when he mentioned being a couple, because in past scenes it was F4M who practically begged him not to leave him. It's not that he wasn't ready to break up with him, it's that he put his friendship before love because he knew perfectly well that F4M had already had enough.
With F4M, when Baabin confesses in voice notes, he literally says that they became friends because he wanted to copy his homework 😭 it's not something I made up or anything, it was literally what he said. And I don't think it has to do with whether or not he knew Baabin's feelings, I think it has to do with the fact that he used someone to make Chian jealous, how can you justify that? Not only did he do it to Baabin, but also to his friend even after she broke up with him. And I think the worst part of all was what he said to Baabin about Bua, by that point, he already knew they were quite close, and telling him that directly was selfish. The two of them were already recording together and hanging out as friends, so he wouldn't have said something like that to him. At that moment, F4M ALREADY knew about Baabin's feelings, and it is obvious that he knew that he would listen to him, it was a form of manipulation (very subtle) but in the end it was and I don't think we should justify teenagers manipulating each other just because they are teenagers.
And with Chian, it's mostly that it took him years to understand that it was wrong. You see what Baabin did as a bad thing about lying about where he lived, but you see it as a good thing that someone moves to a certain place just to be near someone that didn't want to have a relationship with him at that point and followed him everywhere? Okay. It's just important to clarify that Chian wasn't a teenager at this point; he knew what he was doing. And yes, he did mature, but it was practically in the last 25 minutes of the last episode because F4M told him to. Otherwise, he would never have truly matured.
I know they were teenagers just falling in love, but I don't think what Chian and F4M did to each other even up until the last episode is normal. It's okay to disagree with me but we don't have to justify everything they did either.
how can u say F4M never knew he wanted when he's been wanting Chian for the longest but Chian kept letting him…
I never said Baabin or Bua didn't have problems lol it's obvious that they all have problems but there's a BIG difference between them.
Bua never gave Chian access as something more, he was always clear that he was just his friend. Did he act wrongly by using her for TikTok? Yes, but he owned up to it, apologized, and changed. While you had Chian, who started looking for F4M just bcs he felt lonely, F4M told him how he felt about him and instead of acting like a person about to enter adulthood, he decided to keep him there for months, knowing that he didn't have feelings for him, not to mention that he flirted with him on purpose to make Bua jealous.
Now, everything with F4M is wrong. He became Baabin's friend just to copy his homework, he used him to make Chian jealous and on top of that, when Baabin confesses, he's not able to tell him that he likes someone else, he used his friend too AND, he made Baabin feel like he had to choose him over Bua just because he didn't like him. If he had really known what he wanted, he would have simply rejected his friend and Baabin, but he didn't. He never changed, at least I can admit that Chian started trying, but F4M never even thought of changing or even deciding on someone.
Honestly, I could never empathize with Chian or F4M and there came a point where it stressed me out watching them, neither of them knew what they wanted until the end, both are bad people and others solved things for them. Baabin and Bua are the only ones I really cared about in this BL. They had great chemistry, a believable story, and, above all, they learned from their mistakes. I hope they give us more of Baabin and Bua's relationship, it would be nice to see it :]
This must be the best character they have given to Off, he is incredibly good and real. The series is quite fun and interesting without the need for unnecessary drama.
I think what disappointed me the most was seeing that the protagonist stayed with Soobin. It literally doesn't make sense to me how after he hurt her so much she could choose him above all else. :/
