to those of you shipping hong nam with sungjae but say they can't be together cause they are both guys, well maybe they are bi/gay ?? (one's sexuality can change, it's not impossible.)
Watched 5 episodes so far and i love it!
I actually really like the fact that one of the older men got a woman's body because now I can pretend that it's actually a woman and live in the lie that a kdrama actually has a lesbian the main character (I hope that day comes soon..)
Just ranted about a similar topic in the comment section of descendants of the sun. The male leads are usually…
Misogyny is not something only done by men tho. Taken straight from the dictionary, misogyny is "hatred, dislike, or mistrust of women, or prejudice against women". It does not matter what gender it comes from, if the hatred is based on the fact that the target is a woman; it's misogynic.
Girls are from young age is taught that if a guy is mean to you then "he just likes you and don't know how to tell you". This along with the phrase "boys will be boys" (which allows boys to continue with their bad behavior instead of learn that they did wrong) creates this scenario where girls likes guys who treats them like shit and often stay in very destructive relationships because they can't tell that something is wrong.

The male leads are usually jerks who do not care about the girls feelings and do whatever they want – and everybody loves them. The girls however, if they are strong, do things their way and speak up for themselves, many viewers call them bitches/annoying/stupid or even say that they hate them.
Sometimes the main girls is mean, but it's still not okay to say you hate her, because when the guy does the exakt same thing you have no problem it and is just annoyed at the fact that the girl does not run into the guys arms (why would she so that when he is being a jerk?)
I'm getting really pissed off. I'm watching this drama on viki where you can add comments during the video and those comments is making me angry and... horrified. Because many of them are just pure misogyny. There are a lot of people who keep telling everyone how annoying they find Kang Mo Yeon and how stupid they think she is, they hate her and they don't think she deserve the main guy.
Ok, first of all, SHE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG! She is being careful and don't want to get hurt, totally understandable. But to many people, as soon as the girl does not throw herself on the guy as soon as he confesses, she is a bitch (because then the guy gets hurt) On the other hand tho, THE GUY in a drama can be a total jerk and have absolutely NO consideration for the girls feelings and everyone will STILL LOVE HIM. Seriously!!?
They hate her because she is a girl and because she is a girl that does things her way. It's the same thing with the supporting girl. She gets sooo many complains. People saying she is annoying, that she does not deserve the guy, that she should shut up and so on. Some even wonder if she has nothing better to do than think about the soldier Seo all the time. Well obviously she is a supporting role and therefore they don't show us when she is working ect.
So please. Not only this drama but all other dramas (because I see it all the time), if you hate the girl because you think she is annoying/stupid/a bitch think about why you think that about her. And if you would hate the guy if he did the same thing to the girl. Because you probably wouldn't. The guys are usually jerks (that is sometimes the whole plot...) and you still love them.
To all you girls reading this, please stop hating other girls. Please stop hating women for taking up space that the society told us was made for men. Instead, support your sisters. Support them for standing up for them selves and doing what is best for them.
My first one was hana kimi! JP Can't believe it's japanese drama that I don't watch anymore is what got me into…
same for me! Hana Kimi was my first too, watched it cos i loved the manga. Then i watched a few more japanese dramas before I discovered the magic of kdrama and then there was no way out lol
just started ep 5. So until ep 4 I was kinda bored, it was hard to pay attention. (also this drama definitely feels older than 3 years, mainly because the color/lighting edit is not good, in my opinion.) Anyways, I'm not sure if I can finish this drama. I really don't want Yoo Jung and Min Hyuk to be together. He DOES NOT DESERVE her. It's common that the main guy treats the girl terribly but they still somehow end up together. But her life is completely destroyed now. I do not support the two of them being a thing, not the guy she was supposed to marry either. Neither of them deserves her. End of rant.
Definitely going to read the webtoon now, I feel like it will give me more answers than the drama. Still really enjoyed the drama, it's definitely on my top 10 list
I wish they used episode 13 and 14 to unleash this mayhem so they can have more time to tie up the loose ends,…
really good analysis, thank you for sharing:) you pointed out some things that I haven't been able to put in words and gave me a better perspective of the characters :)

Don't spread the misogyny.
(End of very long and messy rant.)
