Yes, I know they are 2 separate things, and I was saying she had neither. She is ignorant AND just plain dumb. I was asking if she ever got character development. Even if I didn't like it at that point, I was wondering if it was worth it to hold out or if my worries were continuous throughout the show. I know there is a reason, but the portrayal of it was still terrible. She wasn't just an idiot, but irritating to watch. Unlikable. There are likable dumb characters. Also, she was motivated to practice and cultivate with the Fire Immortal for 100 years and she was still terrible, so your point? I appreciate your reply, and I have actually watched further. She was practically a completely different character during her human trials and now I find her more likable. That being said, as for everything I said previous, my observations and opinion still stand.

I don't have anything to compare this show to, I just think the lead female character is... weak? She doesn't interest me. She's stupid and has no character development. Why any immortal gods would like her just for her personality is beyond me. At times I see the charm, but a majority of the time she's just stupid and can't read social cues and can't see the answer when it is directly spelled out for her. Also, the only power she gained was through other people and she STILL had to be protected so often. I'm sorry, I just can't like a show when the main character that the whole plot is centered around is so shallow and crappy. People are allowed to have different opinions than yours and its not always just because they're extremist fans of another show.

I'm sorry, but... does the lead ever get any character development? Why is she 'portrayed' by other characters as smart and intelligent when she doesn't even have any common sense? She basically cheated her way through cultivating by borrowing all of her power from others, and then she still couldn't protect herself. Don't get me started on her inability to read social queues, etc. With such a shallow, stupid lead, why would this be rated above a 9? I'm so confused. Why do people like this? Can you tell me a good reason to actually watch the whole thing? Genuinely, I just can't stand the lead anymore, so if you can tell me a good reason to finish it then I'll reconsider, and I would like at least some vague answers to my questions.
