I'm not sure what the message is? Basically, one person moves to a community and a chain reaction of destruction happens. The number of people that have to deal with the criminal justice system is a bit absurd. Also the lead is constantly zoning out and fails to stand up at critical times is tiring. Are women THAT weak?
What is well-depicted is the way women sometimes have to make terrible choices to stay alive and they are still worthy of friendship.
