Isn't it cute the way Seok Jeong calls Ggot Nim "sunbae" (aka "senior Ggot")? 😂 I don't know if Koreans would…
I thought it was super cute! 😂 It reminded me of 30 but 17 - Shin Hye Sun’s character calls a younger guy sunbae at work and he calls her Hubae-Noona-Nim 😂😂😂
I just started watching it after the Blood of Youth but am already feeling disturbed by seeing the poor horses…
😂 I don’t know if you were joking or not but those horses are definitely not pulling that house! 😂 Thankfully it only appears that way. I was relieved when I actually watched it. 😅
Knight Flower and My Dearest. How do you top these two fantastic series dropped on the viewing public back-to-back.
I actually just watched My Dearest and then Knight Flower… Knight Flower was so perfect after how heavy My Dearest was! 🥹 Both were so good - in very different ways 😂
I am really enjoying My Dearest. But does everyone here realize it is an exact replica of Gone with the Wind?…
From My Dearest Wikipedia page: ‘According to writer Hwang Jin-young, it is inspired by the 1936 novel Gone with the Wind.’
It was perceptive that you caught that, S!
Personally, I’m totally fine with this. She wasn’t trying to pass it off as totally original. As referenced here already, Shakespeare and many, many other poets and writers re-invented old stories - always have and always will. As long as they’re upfront and honest about it, as long as it’s done well, what can we really say? 🤷🏻♂️
Here, I think we can say, Thank you, Hwang Jin Young!
I am a bit hesitant to watch this.Is the lovestory as deep as in Red Sleeve? The rating is crazyyyy high and I…
I think it went as deep as RS. I enjoyed this a bit more than Red Sleeve because it happened mostly outside the palace. I think the romance + historical depiction are why it’s rated so high. ML & FL are excellent 🎯
When did the leads get together?Any breakup or love triangleHappy ending
Yes, happy ending for the MC. Hard to explain… MC has a harem, numerous women are after him. There ends up being a triangle. The woman he ends up with doesn’t get introduced into the story till halfway thru. They part ways a few times but end up together the very end.
I really love this series. It was my first introduction into Jin Yong’s work. Since watching this I’ve watched and read every Jin Yong story I could - which is A LOT. My western mind has been totally blown! 🤯 But as much as I love this story, none of the romances work in this 😝 Still there is lots to love. I absolutely love young Wuji (actor & character) he had my heart from the start. Grateful for the experience, flaws and all.
