"Get on" or "get off" the car - the mental picture is a model, cheerfully smiling and waving while sitting on top of a car and then being told to get down from there. "Send" versus "take" You don't send someone home if you are accompanying them - sending is dispatching something away from you. "Take" means you yourself will accompany the item or person to the intended destination. It makes me giggle to hear "I'll send you home" and picturing some guy booting a girl out the door, or "Get off the car" when you mean "get out". You would tell a pigeon or a naughty child to get off the car because they don't belong there! Bad dubbing gets me, too, especially if I have subtitles on and the dubbing doesn't even come close to what the subtitle says -- very disorienting - and frequently hilarious.

I disagree on pretty much every point. These series are more along the lines of morality plays, not a real-life drama. ( A morality play is a kind of drama with personified abstract qualities as the main characters and presenting a lesson about good conduct and character. Often excesses of vice/sin highlight what can go wrong if you don't act with good conduct and character.)That's why everyone's flaws are magnified, examined in pretty good detail, and have consequences. Teens can behave logically in real life, but anyone who has raised them (I have three adult children in their thirties) knows that they sometimes get erroneous notions stuck in their teen heads, and no one can pull them back from the brink except they themselves, or peers they respect. So, being a series of morality plays, with the added fillip of comprehensive supernatural influences, I thought most of the episodes were well done. Nanno, as the antithesis of good character and conduct, drives people towards what happens if they continue on the path of pettiness, venality, selfishness and so on.

Everyone gets drop dead drunk over and over again, and people accept that as normal. Women portrayed to too stupid to breathe, and some worthy, wealthy nerd/model/singer goes gaga over them. Bad disguises - sheesh.
