i had NO IDEA what i was getting into. The concept is so unusual for a kdrama, at the same time, it's so unique and quite well made. I found myself weirded out at first, but, i ended up binging the entire thing. I LOVED IT!!!
Loving it so far! There's a youtube channel that have 30min~ episodes of uncut scenes of the show. Can't wait to see the members progress as the show goes on. Really excited to see Bomi's pitching skill. Also, Park Min Seo's pitch is no joke, it sounds incredible when the ball hits the glove.
This season is more intense compared to s1. Still worth to watch, you get to see different groups of interns in…
**Spoiler. A lot of the times watching this season I felt uncomfortable with the way the mentor's mindset and their attitude especially towards Ding Hui. It's as if they've planned to accept certain not as qualified interns just so that midway through the internship, they can be eliminated and replaced by "more qualified" interns for further competitiveness and drama for the show. I feel extremely bad watching the struggles of the interns this season, they have to worry about doing well and getting an offer and ++ fear of being eliminated half way.
This season is more intense compared to s1. Still worth to watch, you get to see different groups of interns in a different enviornment. New mentors, a new law firm that's one of the top in Shanghai. I personally like s1 more, especially, the bond the interns have with the mentors.
I've been looking forward for this drama but sadly, production has been on hold for almost a year now. There is a manga/webtoon version if anyone is interested to checking it out.
I heard it will air in November ?? Is this right ?? I'm watching the long night now and OMG Bai yu is such a phenomenal…
The production for this drama been on hold since earlier this year because of the coronoa virus. They haven't resumed filming because they haven't gotten approval for filming in hospital. Sadly, I don't think it'll continue ):
I watched this drama when it first released, so my comment reflect my thoughts from a while ago when the drama was airing. I had really high expectations going in watching this drama bc of the impressive crew of production staff, writer, and actors. But after first few eps, I was dissapointed, more on the writers part. I contiued watching hoping that the writers and staff would see viewers reactions (when the drama was airing and still in production) and hopefully change/improve the plot or character development before wrapping up the drama. Of course at the end I was very unsatisfied. Sure, like they gave some character cool/memorable fight scenes and the acting is as great as what can be expressed based on what the script was given, but it was still very unsatisfying because of the the pacing of the show. I'm gooing to focus mainly on the FL here. In the beginning, I thought the main couple had no chemistry but it made sense considering the ML is a stranger that hugs you from out of nowhere and claims to be a king from another world. Even when the leads developed to have chemistry in the drama and I shipped them ... ***SPOILER the FL would go from being a wittty but tough leutenant character to someone that cries or is sad in almost every scene because of how much she misses the ML ... ***SPOILER The amount of scenes that the FL had just starring off into space and had flashbacks of the ML was too much. There was also TOO MANY times in the drama would show the main couple would seperate and then reunite and just to show their breif moment together with scenes of the FL just crying was unnecessarily repetitive to me. Also paced weirdly too, literally all the FL does in the later half of the drama is cry besides that one fight scene.. I was impressed with the actress ability to just cry despite her character having barely any development at all. You get the impression that the FL is solely a character that's there bc ML loves her and tries to reunite with. I love the actors so I'm not saying it's their fault. I definitely believe that even the supporting/side characters are more interesting to watch than the main characters in this drama. It also seemed like the production staff would have a cool concept or scene to throw into the drama and it brings up more questions but they wouldn't bother to further develop the theory or idea that was expresed in an earlier scenes.
This is more of a romantic comedy drama set in historical period with typical politics involved. The female lead acts very modern, I dont know if it's the dubbing or if it actually appears in the original scipt for the characters, they have modern way of speaking & acting including some slangs . Maybe, it's because the female lead is strong/independent that her acting expresses it in a way that seems "too modern" to me. I had to double check to see if this was a time travel piece because certain ways she was acting or saying things that you wouldn't expect. DON'T GET ME WRONG, I'm not blaming the actress at all, her character is actually interesting. I couldn't focus / continue watching but might pick it up another time... would recommend if you're looking for something light hearted to watch.
