Article Patriarchy, Abuse and Gender Roles in Asian Dramas
Nice to know these things bother other dramalovers too! It can ruin a drama for me and honestly the romantic comedies I've watched contain some sort of physical/verbal abuse, which isn't funny at all. Actually it's hard to find dramas with romantic stories (or even think of one?!!) that doesn't include it. If anyone can think of one please do share! I love dramas, don't get me wrong, but I hate the idea that we can become desensitized to these issues as we watch more of them :(
