Yeah it was a bit draggy with the first 1-15 episodes though just in my opinion the last couple felt a bit rushed towards the end especially episode 15 when they just put a new character in there without any sort of basis without any build up. It's kind of like they waited till the end to wrap everything up

I've seen similar ones to Uncanny Counter like Healer, the Legend of the Blue Sea, and Goblin are similar to that of Uncanny Counter. I think Healer revolves more around hiding the m/c's identity then Korean mythology but both the Legend of the Blue Sea and Goblin are similar to what you're looking for (mermaids, goblins/grim reapers). Fun fact the m/c for Tale of the Nine Tailed plays the grim reaper in Goblin ^^

Does anyone know where to watch it with Engish subtitles?

Basically, after Episode 3 it takes you back in time 16 years prior to Wei Wuxians death and explains how he died and his relationships with the other characters which basically leads back to the present time period in Episode 1 (16 years after he died)
