There’s a possibility that seo yeon grew up living in the basement instead of her being kidnapped as after her mum was killed, she was still in the house and essentially we would assume it would have taken a bit for yeong sook to gain conscious again and seo yeon couldn’t have gone that far. Hence when after the mum disappeared and the ending was her in the basement.
Since I’ve watched Lee Jae-Wook’s other drama, search www. It was easier for me to sympathise with Baek-Kyung because he acted similar in there (not gonna spoil much abt it) and was literally a soft kitten in there. Which made me find him a likeable character in extraordinary you, even at the start of the drama when he was a so called “a-hole.”
I must praise for his acting skills, he is really a great actor.
For Baek-Kyung himself, yes some people don’t like him but I thought of him having this “rude and angry persona” because he has to keep in character so that the story doesn’t change too much because of Dan-Oh or Haru. He has to live this lonely fate of being the “villain” so that nothing drastic happens to Dan-Oh as well as having to deal with his pain with his mother with Dan-Oh being a constant reminder and live his terrible family. He is technically locked up in a cage.
It just makes me feel sad that he doesn’t show his true feelings as it’s covered up with his anger. Which makes people in the drama not take him seriously enough.
I hope people come to finish the drama and take out of it not hating his character but sympathise him at least.
I’m surprisingly enjoying this drama even though it’s not the type of drama I would often watch. I recommend it for people to start it because you get to see the main character’s development. I really want to see him starting to fight for his position, his desire for power (in a good way) and discover his hidden ambition in politics.

Yeah I agree with the relationship between BTM and PM should be portrayed in the background more cause it diminishes BTM persona of her being a strong female character in the drama and people will only think of her as an older woman who fell in love with a younger man.
I don’t know for other people but I l personally really like the relationship between Park Morgan and Bae Tae Mi. It makes sense to why she pushed away Park Morgan at first because she’s older than him in a way that there will be some parts she can’t fulfil his desires if they date seriously e.g. having kids as she’s older (even though there’s a chance, it’s harder to have one). It just comes to show that she already thinks about him already even though nothing serious has happened yet but I can really see how both of each other help each other grow in some way. From Morgan helping her receiving a new perspective on doing things a different way (from that ep 7) to Bae Tae Mi helping him with his work but yeah this is just my opinion. What do you guys think?

For me, I was really anticipating him for this role in this drama, it really sheds a new light onto the type of acting and personas he can take on for acting. Even though both of his recent dramas such as Come and Hug me and Kill it was dark, I still really like him and it’s quite refreshing to see him smile ????????. So I hope you start to like him more in this drama! And continue to support him :)
