Binge worthy series that deserves a second season
i wholeheartedly believe this could have done numbers in korea if it just had more episodes and promotion. of course it's a web drama so it's to be expected that it would only have 8 episodes with barely any coverage on its release. regardless this was an enjoyable watch that only took me about an hour and a half to finish. the plot was intriguing, actors did their part well especially so hee and hyo bin, soundtrack wasn't anything special but i did like one song in it, the romance was also cute (which might only be because i enjoy the dynamic of a quiet girl and popular guy) and the characters were also written well for a short drama. i can't exactly complain about the characters not being fleshed out or the ending being rushed since it is a web drama, i just hope we'll be able to get a second season for it. overall it is an enjoyable watch if you want something short to binge. Was this review helpful to you?
A short but heavily packed series
went into this without any prior knowledge on what the show would be about, all i knew was that there'd be a cheating husband with a wife who would seek revenge as that was what was written as the title for it on youtube. but, the series had so much more to offer than that. despite having a basic plot it also included many different twists which left me genuinely shocked, because at some point i would believe that i figured everything out, but the next minute or so would prove me wrong. i also like that throughout the series i would constantly be on edge, worried about her husband (underserving of that title) or her husbands mistress finding out about her plans. not many series have managed to keep me on edge like this which is why i gave this series a higher rating. i also appreciate the casting which doesn't just consists of a-list actors/actresses or people with pretty faces, but rather individuals who, i personally, have not seen before and also manage to bring out their characters well. the pacing is just right and i also like how yu ning is written here. she doesn't just let her husband get away with what he did and she also stands up for herself, which is of course the bare minimum but in cdramas fl's tend to let themselves be treated like doormats, so seeing her stand up against her mother in law made me feel proud.(spoiler ahead!!)
my only issue with this series is the ending, it wasn't too rushed but i feel like it could've been a bit better. i'm glad we got to the yu ning and her daughter living well, as well as li mo getting proposed to by zhu kai but i wish we could've seen what happened with mi ja, because she is the most crucial person not just towards the end, but throughout the entire series, we just don't know it. she's the one who help yu ning out yet we don't see her ending. i also don't like her reasoning behind why she followed chen cheng around after breaking up, maybe it's because we only saw their relationship briefly without any proper timeline with dates but how long did they date for? and was it long enough to warrant her following chen cheng around? it all just seems kind of forced, but her character could have been better if they just made the last episode longer, or at least dragged things out a bit better. overall, this is a great watch if you enjoy compelling twists with a plot against a cheating husband.

a wholesome series accompanied by a great cast and comical moments
the premise of the show itself may not be the most creative nor interesting thing i’ve come across, but the production crew manage to make it compelling thanks to both the cast and the tasks they included throughout the show. it shows a clear beginning, middle, and end, and in the end we see that what the cast went through wasn’t all for naught and had an actual purpose, which is something many shows seem to forget when creating something with a similar premise to this.cast (spoilers):
i can’t think of a better cast than all the kids and uncles that were featured in this season, and honestly i think this is the best cast between all 3 seasons of this show. at first i got frustrated constantly at jim yu, not because he was strict, but because of his views and how he kind of butted heads with ray over their difference in teaching methods involving kids, but i soon understood where he was coming from and found myself gradually agreeing with him as i continued watching. i also thought that he was kind of lazy and didn’t like how he always relied on ray to do most of the housework, but after watching episode 4 my prejudice against him disappeared. although jim was very strict with the kids he only had pure intentions in mind, and it was evident in episode 10 that jim loved the kids and had grown attached to them just as much as the other 3 did. neo (minghao) was the uncle who i felt i understood the most. mainly because he was only 19 when he appeared on the show, but also because i saw the amount of effort he put in trying to get closer to the kids and understand them more. despite only being 19 he didn’t use it as an excuse to laze around and leave everything to the eldest uncles, instead he worked harder in order to be of help to the other uncles. he also learnt to become more stricter instead of always being soft towards the kids and allowing them to act out. ray out of all the uncles may be my favorite, and it’s mainly because my own values and beliefs align with his when it comes to taking care of kids. my favorite moment was when he talked about how physical punishment isn’t the way to raise kids, saying that it may work for a while but in the long run it won’t do any good. as someone who grew up with beatings it really doesn’t help with anything besides instill fear into the kids and result in them hating you. i also really loved his bond with the much younger kids like jackson and halin. the kids for this season to me can never be replaced. they are the kids i grew attached to the most watching this series and i cried so much watching the last 3 episodes of this season. i watched all the kids go from whiny with bad habits to being more mature and losing those bad habits. it really moved me watching them get closer with one another but also with the uncles. sometimes i’ll randomly remember this show and think about how the cast is doing and where they are now. i often wonder whether or not they still keep in touch with the uncles till this day, which i think just goes to show the amount of impact the show has had on me as i don't usually think these things.
overall thoughts:
'let go of my baby!' has officially become my comfort show. it has everything one could want in a variety show centered around kids, wholesome moments, funny moments, sad moments, and so much more. a must watch for those who want a palate cleanser. just make sure not to get too attached like i have!
