Ive seen many people talk about the obsession with breasts in the movie but in my opinion i feel as if it's only reoccurring because its something that Rinko takes pride in. It can be seen as something apart of womanhood. As someone who is also transgender i tend to do that at times too, except the opposite since im ftm. Anytime i was able to bind my chest id show it off proudly. In a silly way its kind of apart of your identity.
Overall i think this movie is beautiful and represented trans people well, especially in the part where Rinko gets dysphoric over her hands. Its a very common experience for people with gender dysmorphia. Its small details that most people about a trans person nor think too much about, yet it can cause one so much pain.
