Wouah, that scene when Yoh falls at first sight for Mizuki (even though he denies it) is perfect. The gaze, the slow motion, the music, the inner monologue, I was really mesmerised by it. And the whole tension between these two is still so good.
The only "negative" point about this drama is that we have to wait again the last episode for them to be really together.

The more you expect something, the greater the disappointment can be, so I was actually quite afraid about this one, because it’s not only a new Ji Chang Wook drama, he is also pairing with Wi Ha Jun, all the setting in 90’s Gangnam around gang and drug traffic, the whole cast too (very happy to see Ji Seung Hyun here too). I was very excited about it. And so far so good. Very good !
You can already tell from the opening scene that it will be good. I like the pace, the development of the story, and the dynamic between the characters is very interesting. The balance is good between the action scenes and the rest of the story, with good little touches of humour from time to time.
So far there is not a character that feels out of place and all the casting is perfect in their roles. The music is quite good too. Looking very forward to the next episodes.

That's funny because your comment is very narrow minded. Indeed, you assume I don't like the season because of the cast change, which is, in fact (seems you like that), just one of the many reasons why I think this second season is, so far, not as good quality as the first one. So before writing general condemning comments with a superior tone, please think a little and, most importantly, try to accept that other people can have their own reasons to dislike a drama or a movie you like.

Well good for you to think and feel this way, that's not my case and it's not only because of the cast change. And saying that my reasons could be "superficial" is really condescending. You don't know me, you don't know the reasons I watch this or that drama or movie, why I like or dislike this or that genre, actor, plot, etc. So don't assume things and make a judgement just because you like this season and I don't and shared it here.
I'm watching it, because I don't drop watching TV series in the middle (you see, you don't know me and how I act), so it was not just a comment about the 10 first minutes of the first episode but what I feel and think about the already 5 hours spent watching the 4 first episodes.
If this is your standard for a "quality drama", it's not mine, that's it.

Well, I don't like cast changes because it doesn't feel like the same characters anymore after, and that's definitely the case here unfortunately. But more than that, for me, it's like the quality of the whole drama, especially the production, is not as good as the first season. Too bad.

And again, a romance centred sageuk... I will only watch it because of Kim Jae Wook as Grand Prince Han Pyeong honestly. ^^

This is really too short, the episode passed in a glimpse, and now we have to wait (again!) two weeks for an episode. It's so good, the wait is terrible.

Season 1 was already frustrating because of Akira, who is one, if not the most, frustrating character I have ever watched. But it was still good, especially thanks to Shintaro that is such a lovely character. Season 2 took the same path unfortunately, which was already disappointing for a season 2, but that "memory loss" segment to end the season just ruined everything good left in this drama (a.k.a. Shintaro). The ending next week will be terrible no matter what. I personally won't be happy even if we know that it will probably end whin the recovery of Shin's lost memories at the last minute and a mild kiss. Such a disappointment. The only good thing that will remain for me is the discovery of Nishigaki Sho who is a great actor and I look forward to see him in other projects.

I love it even more, if it's possible, after each new episode. This story is very simple, but the production is flawless (I have zero frustration watching this even though they still have a lot of work to do as a couple) and, my God, Higuchi Kouhei and Mashiko Atsuki are amazing, superb actors. Their chemistry as Mizuki and Yoh is one of the best I have ever watched. So far it's a perfect drama for me, I hope it will stay like this until the end. The only flaw ? Too short of course.

Finally watched it and it was so good. I can't say that it was better or not than the two seasons, it's different, but equally good for me. I do like the movie format a lot though and the story developed in it. The characters have definitely grow, and in a very good way. The acting is absolutely perfect, for all the cast actually, and the photography and production is really beautiful. I know I'll miss these two weird men but I will rewatch it, just like the two seasons, a lot and still have the same pleasure every time. That's the kind of romance I want to see more.

I really like this one. Two beautiful weirdos that can't communicate well, but still have a crazy intimate relationship so you don't feel frustrated about their weird love story slowly evolving. Not like watching Minato, for example... ^^

Even all Nishigaki Sho's charm as Shintaro can't save this drama anymore unfortunately.

I didn't ask for an explanation of the drama story you know. I understand the different stories involving the characters.
My comment was not about not understanding the stories, but the intentions behind some scenes, and the way the different episodes and timelines are organised, so about the production of the episodes, not the story itself.

Well, I have mixed feelings about this drama and this keeps going bigger after each episode. For some parts, I don't even understand what they are trying to convey. Of course some things can be reveal or explain later, but if the watcher has no clue what's going on, from where it comes or even the purpose of a scene, it's meaningless. For me the production is poorly done, especially in the transition between different times. That's too bad because it's interesting the three love stories entangled, even though there are developments who are too clichés or obscure the way it is presented.

Considering the huge success the movie has in China, and that they start to talk about it a little bit everywhere, I hope we will have the announce of an international release, and soon. ^^ I would love to watch this movie in theatres.

It's supposed to be only 8 episodes and centred on the 24 hours following King Gogukcheon's death, so there should be a lot of scenes involving the character before he dies and also probably as flashbacks.

Trivia regarding King Gogukcheon virtueous representation in Korean History:
From the "Samguk Sagi" ("History of the Three Kingdoms", an historical record of Goguryeo, Baekje and Silla, which is the primary source for the events at that time), in Volume 17, Goguryeo's Book 5.

"In the autumn of the 8th year of King Dongcheon (Year 234), Empress Dowager Woo passed away. On her deathbed, the Empress Dowager made the following will: “Since I didn’t behave properly during my life, how can I look at Kukyang (國壤, King Gogukcheon) from the underworld? If my servants cannot bear to dispose of my body in a ditch or a pit, please bury me next to the tomb of King Sansang.” Soon after, it was done according to the Empress Dowager's will.
After that, a shaman said: “Kukyang (國壤, King Gogukcheon) came down to me and said: ‘Seeing that Lady Woo went to King Sansang yesterday, I couldn't contain my resentment, so I ultimately fought with Lady Woo. When I came back and thought about it, no matter how thick my face was, I couldn't bear to face the people of the country anymore. You inform the Court so that my grave is covered from people's vision.’” For this reason, pine trees were planted in seven layers around King Kukyang's tomb by his nephew King Dongcheon."

King Sansang didn't "cheated". It was obvious for the king to have multiple relationships at that time. Succession, and having an heir, was the first goal for queens and consorts.
