The more I watch, the less it's good. First I really don't get why they decided to mixed two different love stories. There is really nothing that makes the parallel interesting, they should have done two separate series. And second, this scenario is bad, very predictable and really not original. Too bad because the actors are good, there was potential but it's just an average one finally.
I was a little bit disappointed when it started, but I'm quite happy that it keeps getting better and it made me change my ratings over the episodes. That's not often the case. The cast is very good, and I'm quite fond of the Queen Dowager character.
kinda see where you're going but this is just a fiction and anyways, there are some angles of his faces where…
Of course it's a fiction, but it doesn't mean that it shouldn't be realistic. For me he never looks like a woman. But I'm not surprised, Korean cross-dressing is no matter what almost always bad in sageuk. I only saw Japanese productions doing a good job with that.
Really ridiculous. At least there are men who are really androgynous but that's really not the case here so the cross-dressing and the fact people believe the character is a women is nothing believable.
Many sageuk added to this list should not be here but in the Historical list because they are based on Joseon kings or set during Joseon reigns. If there are real historical figures or elements in the drama, even if they are not the main characters, it belongs to the Historical list, not the period one.
I enjoyed this very much! (Genuine artistic, lovely music, kinda realistic- (don’t expect sucker punch or pans…
Actually no, in Korean the most common words people would say for magic are "수리 수리 마수리" (suri suri masuri). It's the equivalent of abracadabra. "Annarasumara" is a creation of the author of the webtoon I think, because I never saw or heard of it elsewhere.
Soo i know up there it says KBS2 Netflix but do you perhap know if it is for sure going to be on Netflix? I'm…
"up there" ? Where ? I haven't read anything about Netflix personally. It seems a domestic drama, it will aired only on KBS 2TV in August. The rights might be bought by a platform later but not for the first airing in August I think.
I watch a lot of movies, and especially a lot of Korean movies, but my personal ratings are rarely similar to the average ratings here so it don't really care about it. The same goes for dramas actually. I usually follow people's recommendations rather than ranked lists, especially when it comes to popularity, because as it is explained in the article, the way popularity is measured here is kind of stupid (in my opinion at least). And also because the "sociology" of the viewers should be taken in consideration too. If 80% of the viewers are women under 30, it's not very objectively representative. It's only relevant for this segment of the "population". Good job for the article, it's a lot of work, but I personally think these lists in general (it's the same for dramas) are useless because in the same top 10 you can have a movie rated by more than 15 000 people and one by 3 000. So the value of ratings is totally different and they shouldn't be ranked together. Ranked lists should be the result of a mix of overall ratings and percentage of viewers to be a little bit more objective.
Rieul is definitely one of the best characters of Ji Chang Wook. He showed once again all his potential and versatility at playing a character with complexity. I just wished we could have seen him more.
As I haven’t read the webtoon, I can’t compare the drama with the original work. I didn’t expected that kind of development but I like the drama very much. It’s not my favourite type of story but still that’s a nice coming-of-age short drama, with meaningful messages conveyed through the episodes. I was a little bit worried by the musical side before watching, and finally I liked it quite a lot, I even would have liked to see more musical moments in it. The ending feels a little bit lacking on closure for some of the characters for me, but it’s still okay. The very ending scene was a nice surprised. And 미녀 (Beauty) really deserves a place in the support cast.
Well, if you don't like musicals, it sure will looks lame for you. But what's the point to write it here like…
No, for you it's lame. That's different. But considering how you answered everybody here it's seem too much to expect from you to elaborate a real opinion or an interesting discussion on the subject so, good for you if you like to just comment everywhere as stupidly as this way (just sharing my opinion too...).
This movie is really stupidly funny. ^^ Japanese are the best at this kind of movies. And I really had so much fun watching it. I haven't liked a comedy that much for a long time. Very good !

Can't wait to hear him sing again, especially on this great TV show.
Confirmed to be airing in August on KBS 2TV. Yes !
