i just finished Warrior Baek Dong Soo recently. i was in Yoo Seung Ho craze recently so when i saw he's the SML…
The first episodes were okay, and the acting is not the problem in this drama for me, but I didn't like what they did with the story and the relationships between the characters. A lot of people praise it, but on the contrary I think it's really wrong the way they portrayed it.

As for Lovestruck in the City I really liked it a lot. To me it's finally something new and different, and not the usual rom-com. It has a nice aesthetic and realistic vibe, a really nice combo.

Well, actually I'm not in these actors and really disliked "It's okay not to be okay" so I can't say I wish for that haha. I'd really like to see him in a sageuk again or an historical movie. I actually really want him to go to movies, I'm sure he can get great roles there and show all his talent, even if watching him in dramas his a pleasure.

Yes, Warrior Baek Dong Soo was a huge step in his career. And I'm sure you'll be impressed by his role in Empress Ki too when you watch it. All the professionals's and people's critics were very good and, personally, that's the first drama with Ji Chang Wook I watched and how I became a fan.
It's true that it's not easy to start watching a very long sageuk few years after its release, but usually it's worth the time (currently watching a 80 episodes one !). And the good thing with "old" sageuks is that they don't really aged in a bad way, just the quality of the images is a bit off sometimes. ^^

As for his choices, well, I don't think he really compromised with his latest, not so well received, projects because he clearly said in interviews his reasons for his choices (for exemple that he wanted to work with a certain director, or that a character really appealed to him or he really liked the overall script, etc.). But I do hope he can have a commercial success with a drama or a movie in the future, so even more people root for him.

Ji Chang Wook is a great actor. "Lovestruck in the City" perfectly shows it, even if Park Jae Won was indeed a pitiful character (but actually an hopeless romantic guy which I can relate to personally).
For most people, he is just a very handsome and charming man, they always bring out "Healer", "The K2" (in which he was great right !), so of course, they just want him to play "popular" roles. But that's easy. People need to see much wider, and listen to Ji Chang Wook himself as he explained several times that he choose his last dramas especially to try new things, push and improve himself as an actor.
I loved his cool characters too, but I respect and like it even more since he decided to play much more difficult characters, making him less confortable and less likable kind of. He nailed it every time, even if the drama was a flop. As much as I liked him in charismatic roles, I'm not even hoping for that in the future. I hope he takes more role in movies. I'm sure it will make become one of the most recognized Korean actor for his talent, maybe even internationally if he choose a movie that goes in foreign festivals.

His dramas from Empress ki to SP were all good .Different characters in all the dramas, with an aura of himself.Even…
"He is starting to create an image of self pity." Nope. There is a difference between a character played by an actor and the actor himself.
The dramas are "down" from the point of view of viewership and appreciation by people, but if people take some time to think about it objectively, despite liking or not the drama, he perfectly portray the characters he is playing, and he is better and better after each drama, even if the dramas are not well received.

Ji Chang Wook's fanboy here. Your comment made me genuinely laugh. ^^
Song Kang Ho is really a great actor indeed. As for recommendations, here are the others actors I really like in movies or dramas : Kim Jae Wook, Yoo Ji tae, Jo Jin Woong, Jang Hyuk, Joo Ji Hoon, Lee Jong Suk, Lee Sung Min, Kim Mu Yeol, Yoo Ah In and Woo Do Hwan.

I know right ?!? If they are already producing BL Dramas then why just not stick until the end . Why those 15…
That's true, I agree, at least there is no unnecessary developments and characters. But we still need longer dramas. ^^

Exactly, I felt the same with "Where Your Eyes Linger" and "Mr. Right" for example, but this one really deserve much more than those few minutes.
Unfortunately, it must be a matter of money, as always. There is still not enough big investment for this kind of drama in Korea. And actually, the main watchers are foreigners. Koreans still won't watch this enough to make it profitable. But they will go there. Two years ago there was juste few independent movies and second characters depicting romance between men, but things are slowly changing and that's great.

Once again, a nice story with good plot, characters and good actors that deserve a full 1 hour 16 episodes or more drama. Ah, so much potential for this kind of nice full length drama in Korea.

On We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd Mar 7, 2021
Well, with only 6 episodes, I'm wondering how it will go. This kind of story, with a huge gap in the story and unrevealed developments at the first episode, needs certainly more episodes to be well developed. I'm afraid it will be kind of messed up.

On River Where the Moon Rises Mar 5, 2021
Well, bye bye "River Where the Moon Rises". Not going to keep watching a drama with a change of actor, especially for one of the main characters.
Too bad. It was not fabulous but the story was interesting, especially the fact that it was set in Goguryeo and not Joseon.

You like it.. great but people who don't like it automatically don't become dumb... calling people with different…
I never wrote that people who don't like it are dumb, of course someone can dislike it, I wrote about the some comments that complain about things that are intrinsic to the series. Like watching a comedy and complaining about too many humour in it. Yes, again, for me it's dumb.
Realistic doesn't mean real. And I can assure you, there is many people like him in real life, men or women. Again, of course all people aren't like that, and thanks God, but some are.

People here really didn't get the concept of the drama, the interviews parts, the realistic relationships, etc. Yep, I write it, I think people complaining about the ending, one couple not being together again, and such things in the comments are just dumb because they totally don't understand what this web series is supposed to be.
Thankfully it's not representative and it did great. I really really like it. Finally something new and different in drama world, not the usual rom-com. It's fresh and a pleasure to watch, it's aesthetic and realistic, a really nice combo.
And stop with season 2, it's not needed. If there is one well nice, but if there is not, good too, if you don't understand why, people probably just need to live and experience more to understand it.

That's actually a really nice plot, and well developed characters, with a touch of comic too. That's really a shame that the episodes are so short. The story could be developed so much more. It's really time for a real BL Korean drama with sixteen one hour long episodes.

Such a nice surprise ! I love the concept of the story. I was a little bit worried about a new romantic role for Ji Chang Wook but he is perfect in this role, way too handsome haha, and Kim Ji Won really sparkle in this role. Can't wait to see more development about side stories too. It's so good that I just wish the episodes were longer. ^^
