That's still a big deal regardless. CH3 even took them to Japan to shoot the series, they've never done that before. Yes, they chose to accept it but you are blaming them here when it's out of their control, unless you have an issue with the story itself, they can only control acting their characters. They are not in charge of the writing. They do reject projects. They are not just jumping at anything that comes their way. I cannot say what their thoughts were looking at the script, but yes, there was something about the script that made them accept it (and I can see why), and especially how for them they are such different roles they've done. They've done now for the past lead series played totally different characters: DSN, Remember Me, BMSS, all different. It's a testament to their talent. They are not easy characters to play. As I said, they are from a small company, I think their popularity and how long they've been together is remarkable. There's only a minor handful of pairings that have lasted this long and most are from prominent management companies that have more exposure and relevancy in the industry.

If you're looking on their bio here, then that is not 100% true. There is so much misinformation on this site. And I said regardless, that is how they dress and present themselves outside of the series. So what is your issue? You have a thing against different gender expression? They are allowed to present however they like as their identity.

That's not at all what they are doing. Ch3 approached them to star in this series, same as others they have done. This is a pretty big deal for a pairing that comes from a small management company. They are really sought after. They can't control how this series is created, they are actors part of the telling the story. I would rather put focus on the director and writers for whatever you feel is lacking. I am really enjoying this series, JaFirst make it so much fun as they always do with their acting and chemistry.

How do you know they identify as a man? They literally dress like this outside of the series. They could be transgender, or that is their gender expression. Assuming someone's identity based on prejudice is ridiculous.

You are misunderstanding Ashi as a character. We already know that he is reserved and quiet, so that is not anything on First as an actor. He is doing amazing at Ashi. If you didn't know, this series is based off of a novel. Both JaFirst are nailing these characters to a T.

I think it could stay at this or be higher as the series goes on, it definitely is not worth putting it lower.

It was a lot better. The first episode was just setting up the series and introductions, now I feel the second ep has really started the series. But I enjoyed both episodes a lot.
