This series was so great. It's even better knowing that the transwoman of the original blog this story is based off of was so on-hand with many things, especially working with Jun Shison. I highly recommend reading her interviews about this series. I was already in love with Jun Shison and his acting before watching this so I knew he would give his all but wow I was really impressed here. Machida Keita was also great acting alongside Jun Shison. I really recommend this series.
wtf was that ending for naoki........ i feel so bad for him. all his friends got a happy ending but him. i would've liked to know more about shun. they both got bad endings. i would've given this more stars but that ruined it for me. such a waste.
Such a great series. I read the manga after the series and wow, they did a great job with the series. I actually prefer it more than the manga. Such natural chemistry between Kouhei and Atsuki. Definitely one of my favorites now. 10/10
Incredible series. The acting, chemistry, story, depth, etc- it was done very well. This does not deserve 7.5, should at least be in the 8's rating. I want to shout-out to Keisuke (Ristu's actor) because for me, his acting was so impactful. He was so natural at Ritsu's expressions and mannerisms, or lack thereof. Okay I did wish harm on Ritsu for his bullshit but I enjoyed his character development. Also, bisexual representation? I loved that being part of his character. His hypersexuality and how he used sex as a way to deal with his feelings and inside himself. It's understandable knowing his past. His first experience with love being with Masumi. I also really liked that Meguru was played by an actor who has no gender. I read some of their interviews and I recommend others do too. We saw in the series how it opened up conversation, which was important, especially to a Japanese audience. The sex scenes were very natural with their acting and chemistry. I was surprised to see how graphic they were but I love how they showed true human nature. It added a lot to the complexity of their relationship and of themselves. I think the only gripe I had was when Masumi said 'what were you wearing' in that one scene.
Such a sweet story!! Probably now one of my favorite comfort shows. Their acting and chemistry were great. They are just so lovely together. No dead fish kissing here. Even them just holding hands or giving pecks to each other made my heart happy! Lee Jong Hyuk has such beautiful doe eyes. Only negative is that this is only 8 eps!!!
I really tried to get into this for Pavel and got up to 3 episodes in but this is not for me. I have no connection to any characters in this series and nothing really engaging to keep me going. Pavel is really the only reason I watched. He deserves success. Maybe I will try again someday but I can't for now.
It is based on a queer novel so I am expecting that they will not change it but in the series his (ex?)partner is a woman, so I guess they are making him bisexual or pansexual, if they are keeping it queer. This is quite a dark series from what I'm reading. I think Bright will do very well. I'm very excited about this one. All three leads look great together and I know the acting will be high quality.
So I never watched the preview of this so I had zero idea what to expect. I got hooked on the fantasy (?) elements…
But really what was that lazy writing about how his curse was gone just because he legally "died" but came back to life? I really thought something else would happen but nope. This was a very powerful generational curse and it was gone just like that? It was such a cop out. I wanted to see a lot more. I had no closure with it. Also, all the stuff the stalker did (which I thought would have depth but guess the writers didn't care) about the clothes in chicken blood, the straw body with a knife (?) with ML name, etc had no purpose at all except to be scary. I was like, was this guy a shaman in his past life? Is he cursing ML? They really could've gone somewhere with that.
So I never watched the preview of this so I had zero idea what to expect. I got hooked on the fantasy (?) elements and stayed for it (and for Rowoon, godly visuals) until I realized it got totally forgotten by the writers (or they just gave up caring). It started to drag as that fantasy element was gone but I enjoyed the chemistry of both of the leads. FL definitely would be the first one to die in a horror movie! I kept yelling at my TV when she kept doing stupid things. She was really cute though and I didn't find her too annoying. ML and FL had good chemistry and the actors did well in emotional scenes. I was really impressed with Rowoon's acting. It had a good amount of the usual kdrama clichés so if you're annoyed by them then maybe skip this one. Honestly the more episodes went on the more I was asking myself, what is this drama even about? The stalking was ridiculous and the drama didn't even need it. There's lots of plot holes that I felt forced to ignore just to finish this drama. Most disappointing was the writers dropping the fantasy elements which I found the most interesting thing about this drama. Overall, I enjoyed it but disappointed.
I hope they will release the airing date soon. I am in so much pain waiting to see them again TT I don't want to say goodbye again but at least the fluff will heal my heart.
I knew nothing about this movie (series) beforehand. I tuned in for Nonkul and fell hard into the story and characters. It was such a fun movie 10/10 for me. I think some things are confusing because I don't know anything outside of the movie. Can anyone explain to me in a spoiler comment what the ending means? I'm very confused. I don't even know what I watched.
It was a good first episode. I usually skip these office romances from kbl because they all end up being very similar. This was enjoyable to start with. I like that Choi Jun is not a jerk (at least so far), it's too easy to fall into that kind of cliché. I also like that he's a bit flirty, too. I think that some scenes are a bit stretched out, especially car scene and the slow-mo scenes. Kdramas love to use this and I often times get annoyed by them and fast-forward. I didn't fast-forward for this episode though. I know some people are sick of the childhood connection but honestly I really like it. It's interesting to see the connection they had then and how different they are now. I'm looking forward to next week's episode.
It's your opinion on the series and JaFirst, which I respect, but I have to disagree with you. Their acting is…
Sure, of course, it's why I said I respect your opinion. If you feel that way about them then that is fine. I'm not attacking you, just opening up conversation, so if it seemed like that then I apologize. Fiat from DSN is a more reactionary character so I found First acting as Fiat to be convincing with being more dramatic, which I'm assuming you're referring to when you say overacting because his character here and Remember Me are more reserved and mature characters. I know that kind of dramatic acting is not for everyone. JaFirst started out a small management company and did not have the support that other bl actors could get from a bigger company, so I agree about not getting their support/their talents nurtured better. Their management also has been horrendous, I've never seen such a horrible manager who hinders their artists success and doesn't allow them to grow. Ja is free from that management, thankfully. And yes, of course, I respect what you believe.
