Lu Feng did a lot of terrible things to Yi Chen. Removing every toxic, abusive or SA element would completely change the entire narrative and their character development. There would barely even be a story left at that point.
Not every story is meant to be soft, green-flag romance.
The first special episode was so beautiful 😭 Every moment felt warm, comforting and emotional at the same time. You can really feel how much love and care was put into it. And that outro… omg 😭 it completely broke me. I don’t even know why i started crying but the emotions just hit all at once again. I really missed seeing them on my screen 🦋
At 13 you should already be able to tell the difference between good and bad. You can call it romanticized, toxic, terrible or whatever you want, hate it all you like, but don’t sit there judging people who enjoy dark fictional stories. I read my first dark romance when i was even younger and still understood those dynamics were bad in real life while enjoying the fiction anyway.
