Why is there a rating when this movie never happened? Honestly should not even be listed at all.

Okay honestly wished you had worded it a bit better. Like adding the word solely in your first sentence would have made a big difference in the intent. I do agree with the seniority of things because it is Korean culture. I disagree with HJM hard carrying this drama. This will be carried well by all the casts because everyone was chosen well. The supporting casts are top-notched.

they're used to mostly fluffy dramas. Makjang dramas have gone out of style these past years so we rarely see…
Props to you for watching 6. I've only completed 2. I tapped out from ever watching dailies again after finishing one that was 178 eps long. I watch more of weekend dramas. I can handle around 50 episodes a lot better. I know I've seen more than 5 of those. I like the slice of life but more family centric.
Speaking of the writer! She has some great makjangs. TLE was definitely the revival of makjang Korea needed. Temptation of Wife is a classsic. Temptation of an Angel was a mediocre follow up but the casts were on point. Can't forget Five Fingers and Smile, Mom. Now she's back with Penthouse.

True daily dramas or sometimes the weekend dramas too but again with the newer viewers all being deterred if the drama is more than 20 episodes long. So those dramas aren't given a shot. cant binge a long serial unless you're prepare to lose your sanity. My fave makjang is Temptation of Wife.

A bit ridiculous to put a poster of Yoona as the cover of this drama on this page. This drama will be hard-carried…
it's not ridiculous considering she's lead with him...If they weren't confident in her ability, she would have not been offered the role. She might not be your cup of tea just like Park Shin Hye isn't mine but I keep my mouth shut. You don't like her as the lead? Okay skip it and carry on.

Reading comments I see that a lot of users are not aware that this is a makjang. Or the meaning of a makjang.
they're used to mostly fluffy dramas. Makjang dramas have gone out of style these past years so we rarely see them nowadays. I don't think some of these people even realize this genre of kdrama even exists.

Thanks for the article! When I first found out that Bhupphae Sunniwat was based on a book, I tried to find it…
Someone's going to release an English translated version of the novel soon. IDK when but if you go to AFN and go to the BPS thread, on the last page there is a recent update about it.

I stuck it out for Eternal Love of Dream for the two leads. It was okay but I think I much prefer the Ten Miles of Peach version of them better. What little was shown in TMOPB was deeper than the actual drama about them. All the secondary characters held no interest for me except for the third prince and Cheng Yu. Si Ming's character was much more interesting in Love and Destiny. A lot of the characters' relationships to each other weren't really shown but like was more told about. And why did they have to make A Li be played by a girl?! Like I understand Hummer outgrowing the role but you couldn't find a cute little boy for the role? The actress was too feminine which in turn made A Li feminine. The storylines were mehhh and I was over the 3 lives and them fighting against fate. I just didn't think the lives flowed well together like TMOPB or even Love and Destiny. It felt like I was watching 3 couples instead of 1. Truly only enjoyed them when they were DH and FJ. I was like "YES!" when Dong Hua finally unknowingly started being attracted to Feng Jiu. The villains sucked so bad like even worst than the main villain fromTMOPB! The hype I set for the drama was not met. Ranked #3 out of all the dramas set in this world.

Somehow SJK and SHK never appealed to me as a couple. They're too similar in feature/auras. I feel the same way about Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji in "It's Ok Not to be Ok". I watched DOTS over a year after it ended. Really it was the second lead that caught my attention(due to a clip on Youtube) and they were what kept me going through the whole drama. They had more chemistry and a more interesting storyline. I liked Kim Ji Won's character better than SHK. I guess I just didn't like SHK's character. Comes off kinda snobbish.

I dropped Pinocchio 2-3 episodes in. I like Lee Jong Suk but everything I've watched from him when he's the lead was alright... I just don't feel the same spark people see when he's with his FL. Park Shin Hye I only liked in The Doctors. Everything else I've seen her in or tried to watch felt too cringy for me. I really tried to like Pinocchio. I currently have it on hold but I might just drop it.

Looking at the batch of photos you would think this is a BL. Lols which one of y'all thought to upload that many pictures of these 2 side characters? It looks like they'll be one of 3 couples but idk how much screen time they'll get.

What is with the CPR in episode 4?! Chest compressions are supposed to compress the heart to pump the blood through…
As much as I wish for CPR to be shown correctly, it'll usually mess up the story time line or still make no sense(they'll most likely act fine after cpr). Correct chest compression usually leads to bruises and chances of chest fractures.

Really? The second phase of quarantine relaxation for Thailand began on May 17th. Filming for production barely began again. I don't think it's common to film the final scene while airing. They must have been on a tight schedule trying to fit everything left in. Covid had everything come to a halt.

No one does actual chest compression on female characters because actual chest compression is where the boobs are. Either it's too high or too low. Even if the actors wanted too, they can't. There's rules and regulation set out by the industry and the country. And Covid has nothing to with the fake kissing. There's tons of reasons why they choose to fake kiss rather then film a real one but I do think we'll get at least one real one for this drama.

I thought this had already finished filming. There's no way they filmed this after COVID as drama filming resumed less than a month ago. So Wayree just started production again about 2 weeks ago and they look quite relaxed with the leads' distance to each other. As far as I know, Thai lakorn production shoots scenes in advance and then goes into post-production where everything gets edited. Finally, they are given a slot and aired.

Okay, so the original version is 1hr 30m each episode and this one is 45 min. If you work that out this remake is only 18 episodes long which is 6 eps shorter. So this is not a longer dragged out version(thank god!). I stand corrected that this drama doesn't need to be longer than the original. It's actually shorter!

For ML, I just thought it would be fun and add to the comedy if he had something quirky.

See I still don't agree with FL's choice of wardrobe. She has low self-esteem. So her sense of fashion should reflect how she feels about her self. I'm not saying she needs to be dressed drabby but appearance is something you notice and is the basis of your first impression of someone. Chen Yi is too nice and passive. That's why she lets people step over her. The OG FL was never too bland nor was she overly dumb either. So if the remake is going for the same personality arc then I feel like her outward appearance should display that. Her wardrobe doesn't have to look hideous; sweet and innocent would more than suffice.

Why do you find the original was a cliche? I thought you said you've never seen it. And I agree every remake won't be the same. Sometimes a remake is a hit and sometimes it's a dud. If I see a clip that makes me interested in this again, I'll pick it up.

RANT:
Why the Chinese version gotta be so dramatic and long? My issue with Chinese remake is they take the plot and stretch it out thin. Like in Meteor Garden, how many times did they break up and get back together because of the mom? Too many goddamn time. I have yet to really enjoy any of the remakes of popular Taiwanese drama. All of these remakes warrant no more than 5 episodes longer than the original. The originals were popular for a reason. There was nothing major that needed to be added for it to be 10+ episodes longer than the original. Liang Jie and Xing Zhao Lin had great chemistry for The Eternal Love 1 & 2 but I feel like they don't fit into the characters they're playing here. Xing Zhao Lin, I find to stoic at times. I mean this was great for when he was Mo Lian Cheng but not the supposed remake version of Ji Cun Xi. Every country's version of Cun Xi has had something quirky about him. Ethan had his eyebrows. Lee Gun had his crazy laugh. Thai version tried to replicate the laugh too but awkwardly failed. Liang Jie's Chen Xin Yi is not very plain jane. She supposed to be someone very forgettable. Why do you still look so fashionable if you're supposed to be a "sticky note". Very helpful in situations but always used and then thrown away. Also what the heck is with the summary?! It doesn't even sound like it's a remake but more like a very loosely based adaptation.
