I completely agree, it's just that the end seems a bit rushed and lacks answers, like who is gyujin, why and how…
i also can't understand the meaning of the end scene if not a set up for a second season, so it'll be interesting whether or not we get one, and what that would look like if we did, because presumably the s lines are there to stay, so what would the characters even be doing? we'll have to wait and see i guess
I agree with you to some extent. It's not the story I have the problem with. The suspension of disbelief required…
i do agree the ending did kinda come out of left field, and there should've been more clues throughout that hinted to the ending, although that does somewhat come through with the texts and moving of the glasses, and you could even say the glasses suggest something magical is going on. but yeah, overall i do agree it was a twist with limited explanation
i didn't think the ending was as bad as everyone else seemed to, because even though the show kinda presented itself as realistic with the crime, they were all still seeing imaginary lines, and lots were seemingly corrupted by a special pair of glasses so you can't assume the plot was going to stay realistic. also throughout the story it's clear that someone was controlling the narrative and picking and choosing who'd get the glasses.
however, i honestly assumed that gyu jin was going to be hyeon heup's aunt (who was having an affair with her father), and that's why she had none because the man she'd slept with had been killed, why she'd had an interest in s lines, why she was trying to blow up relationships through s lines, and why she had an interest in hyeon heup.
so while i kinda agree the ending was randomly tacked on, i think the story indicated that it wasn't going to stay realistic, and i do think it made sense that they couldn't stop a god or whatever gyu jin was, because why would they be able to. i also agree with the premise that people would be interested in seeing others s lines, and gyu jin clearly enjoyed the chaos of that happening otherwise she wouldn't have been moving the glasses around to all those people.
i don't know. the show definitely had it's faults and i accept that one of the main characters being a god (or something like it) isn't the best ending in the world, but i don't think it was quite that bad. and while the show didn't answer everything directly, there's lots of implied answers i think.
so your telling me the girl from the first episode going into coma was just useless at the end?? she didnt even…
gyu jin did mention that the detective wouldn't have paid attention to seon a if not for the fact that she had been pushed off the building. so it seems to me that seon a was pushed to get ji uk investigating and interested in the concept of s lines and hyeon heup. it had nothing to do with seon a herself though
i know it was supposed to be some supernatural force that overtook yoma, but to me it was just a metaphor for anorexia. that's really all i could see in the episode
OK, I get that Patrick is probably a vampire but as far as phum knows he’s human so shouldn’t he be careful…
nah, at the start the show said that if you're a vampire and drink the blood of someone you love, you become human. which is what happened to poom, his ex-boyfriend drank his blood after they said they loved each other, and poom became a vampire whilst his ex became human
watched episode 7 thinking to myself, 'it's weird, but good on you king, get your bag'. then the horrors started. literally the only time i've felt sympathy for takauji
i got the subs from the discord server link that is a few comments down. you've got to do some stuff to be accepted but it's not hard and there's heaps of subbers and subbed movies/tv if you do join
The prequel made me think I would somewhat understand which direction this movie would take. I was wrong. As the…
i also wondered about the reason when hasumi killed his partner who 'killed for pleasure' and claimed that he didn't do that. seems like he killed for the sake of it though, as even if you believe he was covering up for himself and punishing the students and teachers, he did similar stuff (he also had a student/teacher relationship), so it truly seems like he killed because he could, and because he'd gotten away with it before.
up until episode 9 i thought the comments were overstating it, and despite there being a lot of couples it wasn't that convoluted/confusing (even with the whole past life storyline which i thought was weird and unnecessary, but whatever), but then suddenly someone is bashed and it was orchestrated by the dude he likes, who's also the school president and also cheated on his test or some shit. i spent the last 10 or so minutes of episode 10 just repeating 'what the fuck' to myself. truly, WHY did the story include the additional couples/storylines? they're neither fleshed out nor propel the story. bizarre honestly.
this series is so much more fun on rewatch cause you fully understand how strange it is and how insane it will become. i also just love unhinged and absurd shows lol
i've seen jung-se in quite a few things (and really loved his acting in those shows), checked his profile as he's been added to sweet home, and am genuinely surprised to learn he has prosopagnosia. it's wild the kinda stuff people can be experiencing, and again, such a good actor!
