So trashy it's a ton of fun to watch!

This series was a wild ride.
I don't look for Oscar award winning acting performances, but some of the acting in this was really bad & over the top.
The writing made no sense at a lot of points, the musical score was repetitive and unimaginative. Let's not even start with the special effects & fight scenes...
Chet as a character especially was terrible & I found myself laughing whenever he appeared on screen.
I do want to commend Offroad for really exuding aura & confidence as Pheem in the first ⅔ of the series. It made him incredibly attractive & he had great chemistry with his romantic scene partners.
All in all I was incredibly entertained by the series & laughed a lot almost every episode.
So to me it's so bad that it's kinda good.
Will definitely be inviting a bunch of friends and watching this with them.

Hurray to Bottom!Max & gender expression

I will try to give a nuanced review of this series. It's quite flawed but it also has some very strong and interesting points. What drew me in initially (next to me loving MaxNat) is how this series plays with gender expression/ gender roles & style. This is the first BL I have seen that has it's tall, muscular male lead wear clothes that are considered effeminte as well as colorful gel nails. It was a joy for me to see. All in all I really adored the styling in this show, it was quite bold and fun. (Slight spoilers ahead).
One of the biggest things I will applaud them for is that they didn't use the body switch plot to chicken out of having Nat's character, who will be read as a top by everyone, bottom for his much smaller, thinner co-star Nat's character. It made absolute sense that Sun's character would remain the top, despite being in Nuae's body, but I was surprised that they were brave enough to show it. I also love that in a subsequent episode they mention that they had switched positions in one instance. I thought that was really lovely as well. So seldom do we actually get switch couples, when it is very common reality for a lot, if not most gay couples.
Apart from that MaxNat's chemistry was again enchanting to watch. Their NC scenes were beautiful and quite creative. I loved the strong connection between the couple, you really could feel the deep sense of affection and love they had for each other.
I also think it's cool that they tackled a topic I have never seen in BL either: erectile dysfunction.

Now onto what I didn't like:
-the plot was fun but quite silly to begin with, after episode 2 or 3 however it a lot of things just simply made no sense at all
-thingss got repetitve, so this series would've likely profitted from being cut down to around 6 episode.
-I wasn't invested in the side couple at all
-one of the biggest prolbems driving the plot - erectlie dysfunction - gets solved without explanation? We never know why Sun can get it up again in the end???????? That frustrated me to no end
-Why didn't Sun & Nuea just do other things if penetration wasn't going to work? Sun could've still given Nuea a BJ or HJ,....like come on
-I didn't like the way Nuea was mad at Sun for having this problem. I get that it made him insecure, but he blamed him for it quite a lot and at points treated his partner very harshly and unfailry even though it was very clear he was trying his best for him. The relationship wasn't toxic, but I would go as far as to say that Sun is not being treated well

As far as rewatch value goes - there are some scenes I am definitely going to be coming back to.

How did Ta end up in this production?

All I could utter was "wtf" while I was watching this. There were lots of things that simply didn't make sense at all. If I made a series to make fun of BL as a genre I would probably produce exactly this. I don't even wanna start listing what was lacking because everything was. The kid actor was cute & the only scene I genuinely liked was when Leon got the kid who bullied Lucas to promise that he wouldn't anymore and gave him a fist bump.
I am still very befuddled as to what Ta was doing in this series, given that he's a great actor & has starred in very high quality productions by BeOnCloud.

I could see this being fun to watch drunk with a group of friends, so that's why it gets some points from me.

Babe yearning, pleading & desperately in love - what more would you want ?

I had mixed feelings on the first season, but this had me totally hooked.
The big selling point to me is Pavel's acting, PoohPavel's chemistry and this story, honestly, giving me one of my favorite things in the world : a beautiful man absolutely wrecked by his yearning and desperation for his partner.
This is another season that puts Babe through hell emotionally, but it's just so enchanting to watch.
Pavel conveys hurt, and desperately needing to be loved so, so well. His facial expressions are truly a treat.
He absolutely carried.
I loved this season and will be rewatching.

Left me feeling broken. /Switch representation / Mature love

I seldom write reviews, but I had to for this series. It was absolutely brilliant in every way, the acting was out of this world. The chemistry was so natural and beautiful between the couples. The story was complex and thrilling.
The last three episodes devastated me and my friends so much though that some of us were crying and all of us agreed we could not watch the series again. It's a testament to how heavy it felt, how much this series managed to make us care about it and it's characters.
(If you watch this, make sure you're in the right mental state to do so!)

I think it's worth pointing out that this series has showed us something that should be commonplace, but isn't in this type of media - a couple that switches positions in bed. This is the reality a big chunk of the queer community practices and it's high time we got to see it in screen.

//Slight spoiler//
I'm also a big fan of the fact that they let a fixed pair like MileApo switch top/bottom positions in this series. Another way in which they broke those tired tropes open.
I'm very thankful they made this series.

Trauma/Misery P0rn & 75% fight scenes

Positive:
I love that they did something completely new. The concept of having a Thai & Korean gang clash was really interesting.
I thought the acting was mostly solid.
There was something really raw about some of the characters and their decisions

Negative:
So, so, so much misery. I'm no stranger to tragic series and do quite enjoy them. But this was depressing to watch and it almost felt like negative things kept happening just for the sake of it.
I got really, really sick of the fighting scenes by episode 4. It feels like every 5 minutes there's some extended fight scene and it got annoying.
Peace & Sun were kind of cute together but at the end of the day, they couldn't get me to care about their relationship that much. And that's how I usually know a series has lost me.

I pushed through till the end simply because this was something I hadn't seen before and the acting, production, and the story were very thought out.

In conclusion, there was a lot of potential here, but the series really needed to be reeled in, in some regards.

A sweet, feel-good BL that was way better than expected

I'm typically not the biggest fan of the childhood friends to lovers trope, but this series somehow just got it really right.
I had a lot of fun watching this show, and rooted for the main characters and the side couple to get together the whole time.
I was tuned into the sentimental moments, but also the fun ones.
Watching it made me feel like a lot of love went into creating this show and I absolutely appreciate it.
I can see myself revisiting this show, and recommending it to my friends.
I think it'd actually be a great show to get people into BL.

Stunning series. 10/10 if the pacing was a bit quicker.

The series shines with its amazing production, stunning acting, breathtaking chemistry between couples & heartfelt storytelling. I recommend everyone who doesn't mind a bit of horror to go and watch it!!
The only thing taking away from it being a perfect 10/10 is that the episodes were often almost 2 hours long and the series would've benefitted from not drawing everything out quite as long. That did stand out to me, among everything else that I really, really loved.
This series went above and beyond in creating a magical show that is respectful of and teaches a lot about spirituality, buddhist tales & symbolism. The characters have a lot of depth & the actors are able to portray so many emotions through simple glances, stares and posture. The NC scenes were very sensual, tasteful & added to the story. They felt natural and deeply romantic rather than placed in for titillation.
Thank you to all of the actors as well as the people behind the scenes for crafting this ama show.
