The main leads don't have the unforgettable visuals of the leads from previous 5 KBLs; ATL, ASTCO, ODS, ULS and T8S. Nevertheless, I'm still going to continue watching it. KBLs are tackling Mental Health issues lately and I'm loving it. I'm here for the plots.
Filipinos are actually multilingual. They consider English as their second language.
It was mentioned in Episode 1 that he came from Singapore. So everything I said was right. It was intentional. As a foreign student, his accent must be distinct to make him sound like he's new to Philippines. The actor was the best fit for this role since you said that he was raised in Singapore.
even i thought he had feelings for pat, but in this epi we can see jeng pointing out flirtatious nature of jaab
I wish we were right. This could be an exciting fight for love. The older brother who is his boss, the younger friend who is his friend or the ex, who would Pat choose? hahaha
But anyways, I'm so excited on the next week's episode.
As one of the Taglish users, I find Taglish here in TDILY normal and pleasant. It seems that the actors here are using Taglish in their daily lives. The sentence pattern of both English and Tagalog is the same so Filipinos can easily use this.
For an example, we have this line of Ann (I'm not sure if I remember her name correctly):
Her Taglish line: "Wala namang papansin sayo // because you're a nobody." The subtitle: "No one will notice you // because you're a nobody."
I used // to separate the two languages. I find Taglish pleasant to my ears when it was done in this way. Her line can also be normally changed to: "No one will notice you // kasi bale-wala ka lang."
As long as you don't mix the two languages interchangeably, word by word, you're Taglish is good and pleasant to hear.
BUT, don't do Taglish like this: "No one // ang papansin sayo // because // ikaw ay // nobody." ----> This is a big NO!

I think the only one who has a different accent is Eli and it was done in purpose.
At first, I thought that he's having a hard time to act in pure English. But the case is, his character is a foreign student studying in Philippines. That's when I realized his accent was done in purpose (not sure if I'm right).
I bet Mr Jeng read this lyrics during Episode 3. The character development of Mr Jeng escalated quickly. What are you waiting for, Pat? It's time for your self-reassessment.
PS: I thought Jaab has feelings for Pat in Episode 1 but I was wrong hahaha.
The only Filipino BL that I completed is Like in the Movies. I guess this will be the one that I can finish.
I'm sorry but the case of Taglish here seems normal than Gameboys. The great acting in Gameboys is very undeniable for sure. I just don't feel watching it.
This could be a lot better only if the editing team did their job.
Chan Woo kinda looks like Yoon Oh from Peach of Time. Or maybe it's just the color of the hair.
PS: I like your pf. Kinda brings me back to my WoH days.
