This is the most stupid drama, however it's addictive, and I can't stop watching. On episode 14 at the moment, but need to vent.
The character Phillip is a stalker, I can't stand him. I wish he'd just go away (stage 18 clinger). It's not love, he couldn't possibly love Eun Young within the amount of time they'd spent together. He uses the language barrier between them as a tool to disregard her voice completely, he obviously can't read body language either, and I am tired of him creepily telling her throughout the first half of the series that "it's okay"......OMG pi** off. Every time he is on screen I want to skip the scene or scream! Even after he finally accepts that she doesn't feel the same he still is always creeping and it's gross. He gives me massive stalker vibes.
However, he does sometimes give some good advice, especially to Yi Na, omg she's another character who is completely ridiculous. How the hell can you harbour such deep feelings, and pine for a 10 year old boy all the way into your 20's. It's different for Jae Ha and Eun Young as they were childhood friends but didn't re-kindle obviously until their older age. Their love was natural and not knowing who each other was, happened organically. Whilst Yi Na for 15 years has just weirdly obsessed over the memory she shared, again with a 10 year old. She needs therapy, move on with your life babe.
Anyways, I am hoping for a happy ending, which I'm sure will happen. I'll most likely be back with another quick rant at the end.
I've just finished watching this and I feel uncomfortable. It leaves you with a whole mix of emotions, and I don't mean happy ones. Just note there are triggers in this movie and it's not a lite watch.
