not sure why the reviews for this are so mixed because as an action lover I actually had a great time with it. its super fast-paced and really fun to watch
for me it was mostly about the visuals which i thought were great. the story does feel a bit rushed and the plot isn’t anything extraordinary but honestly that didn’t bother me much
i'm also a huge fan of the two actresses, so seeing them both on screen and sharing scenes was a big part of why i enjoyed it lol i loved their moments together but overall, it was just a really fun watch for me

the first five episodes aren't that bad, after that it goes downhill

no he does not fall in love with all three of them. he only develops genuine feelings for Han Sun Hwa; his story with Son Yejin is based on manipulation and seduction, he engages in a game that involves seducing Nana but then he eventually falls in love with HSH, this is how the story goes in both the og novel and the movie ( : dangerous liaisons )

Han Sun Hwa is def playing the role of "Madame de Tourvel" the woman JCW falls in love with in the novel

the kind of easy rom-com you watch when you just want to feel good and not think too hard

last scene of ep6 was SENSATIONAL they definitely know how to keep the audience hooked

he's been stuck with this whole auntie beef for two episodes now knowing he still has two uncles to take down and lets not forget the icing on cake which is taking down his cousin, no way they're wrapping everything up in 7 remaining episodes

male lead too arrogant it's time for him to realize his historical knowledge isn't enough anymore also min young's character is way too forced i'm sorry like no one cares about her nor her story, i will be very upset if they force a romance plot involving her down our throats

okay just read some theories and i think mine is the least probable 😵‍💫

dahyun was looking for her father Lee Jin Geun shows her the way to him and thats how they end up in the red gate house and they accidentally end up witnessing her father doing something to the missing sister (?), this theory makes sense to me since dahyun's mother also looks guilty about something related to the ML so that could be her husband being the culprit, + her and the grandma ending up killing him (because he was apparently an abuser as well)

i'm 100% sure the *main* culprit is one of those veteran police officers, my theory is that there are so many people involved all at once in the disappearance of the little girl so many factors practically all the villagers are guilty for either witnessing/hiding the truth or participating in it but the big culprit is one of those police officers

the whole family and the village need therapy asap why does everyone keep blaming EGH he was literally a child when everything went down he already grew up with a trauma and everyone just keeps adding to it by putting the whole blame on him he's literally the biggest victim in this whole scenario
