Is this a melodrama? Too much crying and sadness?
Yes, but no. I mean it is tragic at certain parts... like the tragic events people face, in real life... but I see it as more heartwarming, hopeful, honest, and realistic than any drama I have ever seen. There is is no pity party going on in this drama... with endless frustration with the characters... you feel connected with each character... even the not so great.

I so hope this ends well... so far this is probably the best drama I've ever watched... its been consistently good and getting better each episode. There's so much depth to this drama, that I can relate to on so many levels.

My heart ache for Lee Kang Doo. This guy gets physically and emotionally beaten all the time. I can't stand to…
boy needs to remove himself out of the crappy environment and put himself in a healthier one... or at least get counselling... both of them. They both have so much trauma... too much for someone to handle on their own... without out heathy guidance.

Wow, glad that's over. I liked it and all, but the last couple of eps sucked my soul out, it just needed to end…
I gave it a 10/10... maybe if I went back and binge watched it, I might not feel the same. Since I only watched 2 ep a week I didn't think much about all the connections. However, because I'm in a similar stage of life that the character are in, it was very relatable each week... if I was in a different stage in life, maybe i wouldn't have liked it as much.

I completely agree with you. She is overstepping his boundaries, and is getting upset with him, because he didn't meet her expectations. She needs to realize that she is an independent person, and her worth should not be tied to another person. Yes, love is important, but it isn't finding your worth from that person. A healthy relationship will come, from two people that complete in themselves, and respect each other; in their differences, boundaries, and passions. I hope this drama doesn't just go down the road of codependency... which is exactly the problem with their parent's marriages.

I don't find him attractive either, for similar reasons. However, I a really enjoying this drama; the storyline and the acting. To me, his looks are not a distraction.

This is like the most loved and hated drama of all time haha... I had never been so addicted to a drama... it was consistently great... but then the end came... it was like someone was running a race and they were about to win... and then... boom, they trip; falling flat on their face, right before crossing the finish line.

It's so embarassing that Netflix are claiming it to be a 'Netflix Original' series lol!

Yea, it shows up on the Korean Netflix, but it doesn't say Netflix Original. It's just under the category... popular on Netflix.

I agree with you on pretty much all of these... and there are quite a few more I could add to the list. Although I haven't seen the last two you mentioned. Out of these dramas, Playful Kiss was probably the worst, in my opinion. I couldn't stand their characters.

I'm starting to wonder if the person who wrote the drama, wrote it knowing that there is a possibly of a strong earthquake happening in Korea... Living in Korea I experienced the aftershock of its largest earthquake recently... There have been 8 this past year... and 4 this month... which is unheard of...And the government is doing little for preparatory measures http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20160926000722

Yes, I put it on hold after episode 10 and I don't know if I can finish it. There's quite a few dramas from this year that started out so well, and I could not bring myself to finish it, half way through.
