I admire the immense amount of realism here. The way the writers remind us that (1) before we can healthily love someone else, we must love ourselves first and heal the wounds of the past; (2) finding a romantic partner is not a substitute to seeking professional help and personal happiness; and that (3) true love does not expect both parties to perfectly understand each other. Sometimes you'll have misunderstandings, and that's okay, because each of us has an "individual language" for us to convey and translate.

I lost the context as I was reading the replies. I don't think the detective has that much power here as he's just feeding the information to the prosecutor. Perhaps he'd change course, but it won't suffice as the driving force to turn all these things around. I hate to say this but the ball is really on the prosecutor's court (pun intended).

Well at least the ML and FL don't go annoyingly go in and out of sync like in LR. ML here is a bit annoying tho because he still needs a lot of character development.
