Well since I started watching dramas few years ago, my fascination with anime died out. If you're interested in movies then try also CROWS Zero and CROWS Zero II, my all time favourites (also with Oguri Shun plays main role in them).
And about history... It's always different when you HAVE TO learn something and when you can watch a hot guy who is a warrior ^.^ But it's fine, everyone likes different stuff.

Hmm... I can definitely recommend Faith, it was my first Korean historical drama but it was very interesting (I watchedit in a matter of days). And please DO watch Secret Garden (it's one of my all time favourites ^^) From the Japanese front - I only watched movies lately (+ Rich Man Poor Woman but I see that you're already on that ^^). But if you haven't seen much Japanese movies i can definitely recommend BECK - very nice title :)

It was similar for me. I came around to really enjoy this show after 4th - 5th episode.

I had a friend who really couldn't get into drama universe at all. I told her about Secret Garden and it really worked! She loved it and watched in a matter of few days. Made me so proud ^^

Actually I didn't read anything about cancelation nor T.O.P dropping out except for comments here. I hope that it's all just rumours and maybe the production was just frozen.
