Oh so this is going to be a mini drama adaptation? I'm so curious who they will cast. Someone mentioned Chen Si and yes I can see that. I'm also thinking Zhao Zhendong, Liu Lanbo, Wang Chengpeng, Fang Zheng Nan, Sheng Haonan - though I must confess I only watched them in modern mini dramas and don't know if they have historical ones or if they're good in it. I'm also gonna throw in Zhang Beixi just coz he's my favorite. For females, I'm kinda drawing blank tbh. I think Li Keyi could work -just coz I saw her in that drama where she was from historical times then travelled to modern times and I thought her temperament and acting in there was perfect.
I'm not really updated now with his latest/upcoming projects and stuff, I just watch them when it comes but I like to check MDL from time to time. I just saw his next drama is a suspense/thriller. Oh I am really glad to learn about this! Looks like he is starting to diversify his genres and choose scripts out of his comfort zone - maybe probably picking less idol dramas in the future too? I am excited for him! Here's to hoping he'll get offered more serious scripts that are challenging so he can hone his acting skills even more but also may they be rewarding for him as well.
I hated that part too! I wished they didn't do it that way. IMO, it was handled way better in the novel.
Just like in the drama, Mr. Fu noticed that JYH and TXN seemed to be more than boss and subordinate during the dinner but in the novel, when he saw JYH was wearing a wedding ring, he assumed that he has a family and that TXN was a mistress. So during the signing of the documents, he tried coming onto TXN (it happened inside his car, he locked her in). She rejected and said she already has a partner and that she respects Mr Fu so he should respect her as well. Mr Fu tells her he knows about her and JYH. At first she tried to deny but Mr Fu said that it was obvious and that JYH wasn't trying to hide it. Then proceeded on telling her how he thought when he first met her that she was the kind of girl who relies on her own efforts but didn't expect she would be someone who would take a shortcut by having a relationship with her boss.
Then he basically offered to give her more if she chooses him instead. Better career, more money etc. Why cling on a married man?
TXN first thanked him for being her client and for giving her an opportunity but told him that she never used anyone to get ahead. Coz if she really had that ability, she wouldn't be in DR this long as just a contract worker. Then she said, "Yes, JYH and I are not ordinary boss and subordinate and he is indeed married, but I also have a wedding ring that matches his, and I am his wife."
Mr Fu didn't want to believe her at first but she said that he can just go to the Civil Affairs Bureau and check if the other person on JYH's marriage certificate is her. In the novel, they are legally married from the very beginning. She explained about being in a secret marriage since the company doesn't allow it. He asks why did she tell him, is she not afraid that he would tell anyone? Then she made a long talk about how she thinks of his character as a businessman and that he must be atleast trustworthy if the Old Mr Fu decided to name him as his successor and how the old employees decided to follow him instantly, etc etc. Basically just giving him a wake up call.
Mr Fu let her go. TXN said happy cooperation and then after awhile he said it back to her. He still remained as her client.
Yess Shining for One Thing and Story of Ming Lan are both amazing and she's great in them. She's really underrated
Oh she was in Minglan? I've actually seen that drama before but I dont remember her. Tbh I don't remember the cast of that drama outside of the main three.
The tropes "He fell first, he fell harder" and "He fell first and have been in love with her in secret for years" are some of my favorite tropes so I really enjoyed this drama. And tbh, there's something about WZM that I really like so even though he has been typecasted a little with these type of roles, I still like watching him act in them. First time seeing Karlina Zhang and I really like her! I haven't watched her other really popular drama but maybe I should give that one a try someday.

This is a lie that antis have been spreading. The PLA (which includes the Airforce) has been supporting this movie and actually promoting it. Anyway, this movie is now scheduled for release on April 28.

I'm kinda interested in that. I like Bai Lu and I think she's a good actress. I also can't help but remember how starstruck and tongue -tied she was on Sing or Spin when she saw Yibo. She was stuttering while talking to him, it was kinda cute actually.

He was supposed to release his own brand of skateboard sports and apparel last year (something like Nike SB, although I don't know if it would have shoes or only clothing). He actually posted a 'coming soon' announcement of it on instagram. However right now the project is currently postponed.
