There are worse things than death. She’ll keep those around that can be of used. But as it stands now, Rong…
Such good discussions going around in here! I initially had a hard time figuring out who the actual villain is in this drama. From the first few eps, I was pretty sure it's mo huan but towards the middle, she doesn't seem to have killed as much as rong jing feng did. but not only until these last few episodes that I realized that she is indeed the most cruel of them all. literally everything started from her. she brought nalan yue's mom towards her side which resulted to the destruction of the chihua pill, which then led to the mess in dragon howl city, which led to the downfall of lingxu pavillion. She motivated Ruo Han to give her pill to Nalan Yue, not because she wanted to save him ----- but because of her ambitions. She doesn't kill carelessly, rather her actions are always well-thought-out.
this one definitely has its flaws (*coughs* bad editing) but im enjoying it ALOT nonetheless. the latest eps kept me on the edge of my seat and made me admire the unwavering trust/understanding that rong hua has towards yue
Are we supposed to hate Mo Huan? But she's my most favorite character. I wish they have developed her character…
Nope, i feel the same way actually. I see her as someone who only wants her sect to be the most powerful, hence the reason she's using nalan yue. She doesn't seem as bloodthirsty, albeit we gotta admit that most of the events that are happening in this drama is because of her. She's a key player that drives the plot, and a good one at that!
32 eps in and i gotta applaud this drama for keeping my interest thus far. The pace is good ---neither slow nor fast. No unnecessary drama but only what's required. It sticks to its core plot and does not move away from its theme. The thing i love most about it is that it does not have as many frustrating scenes as other c-historicals. The trust between the main couple is amazing and does not cause a lot of hiccups in the plot. Any filler/boring scenes? There are quite a few but does not bother me as much. Every happening are all correlated. We also got the chance to take a look at different characters and somehow empathize with them? We get to care for Rong Su which is a total change of my initial reaction towards her. It had my sympathy for Mei Ying and dragon howl city, and now i just can't wait for their downfall. Then I used to hate Mo Huan so much in the beginning but now i don't despise her as much as I do for Rong Jing Feng. Of course this drama does not have the best writing but atleast it had me waiting every week for new episodes. Ren Jia Lun's acting has to be the best thing about this drama. He's doing a good job, regardless if it's a funny or dramatic scene. In any case, i can't wait for the last 13 episodes. Just saw the preview for eps 33-34 and it seems we're in for another interesting ride.
wow this drama started good and is even getting better as the story progresses. we're almost halfway through this drama and i don't see it slowing down anytime soon! wuxia dramas tend to be draggy around this point, but this one is an exception.
happy ending :) i'd say the romance here is the perfect portrayal of pure love. not alot of skinship but their chemistry + scenes are the factors that makes this pretty addicting
