After watching the Mantis trailer, the flower of evil came to mind. In The Mantis, ML's mom is a serial killer. In the Flower of Evil ML's father is a serial killer. Both stories surround murders and the people who get affected by the killers due to their family ties. So both stories are pretty much similar.

While "Connection" does not include any romantic elements in its plot, the character dynamics are quite similar to those in "The Trunk."
