Both Twelve Letters and Yesterday Once More have that same bittersweet, nostalgic feeling. They’re not just about love, but about how time changes people and relationships. In both, the romance isn’t straightforward; it’s tender but marked by distance, regrets, and missed chances. They focus on memory, growth, and the way small moments stick with you over the years. The tone is slow, emotional, and reflective, making you think about your own past and the “what ifs” in life.

Both dramas have the same FL, seeing Zhao Jinmai in school uniform reminded me so much of her in "A Little Thing Called First Love". Both dramas have a school setting and revolve around youth, first love etc.

Both dramas have a master student dynamic between the leads in the beginning. Both leads are from the same sect, bound by a contract against one party’s will. Both dramas have similar plot lines and both are xianxia dramas.

Both are pretty similar with time travel and ancient attire. In scarlet heart female lead goes back in time just like in dreaming back to Qing dynasty. Both FLs get involved with several princes but with two main love interests.

After watching the Mantis trailer, the flower of evil came to mind. In The Mantis, ML's mom is a serial killer. In the Flower of Evil ML's father is a serial killer. Both stories surround murders and the people who get affected by the killers due to their family ties. So both stories are pretty much similar.

Both "Connection" and "The Trunk" are dramas centered around a mystery. While "Connection" does not include any romantic elements in its plot, the character dynamics are quite similar to those in "The Trunk." Suspense builds progressively from episode to episode in both dramas. All the actors in both series are highly acclaimed ones who can actually ACT. However, "The Trunk" features more angst in its characters compared to "Connection". But the plot of both dramas revolves around a mystery in that sense these dramas are very much similar.

Both dramas are slow-burn and have similar vibes. Even though the circumstances around the relationships in both dramas are very different, they both have this yearning type of love. In both dramas, both couples are meant to be. Everything around them points out that they are meant to be but it takes time for them to get together properly. Both are slow burn but the plot flows very nicely.
