Just a little note on one aspect of Fu Yong Jie's character:I think since one of the reasons Xing Si actually…
Definitely. I think Yong Jie has potential. He really cares for Xing Si. He is just going about the whole thing the wrong way. If Yong Jie can be be redeem then we got something.

I really like Yongjie and I don't think there's something wrong about their relationship
I like him too. He is awesome character to analyze but I also acknowledge that he is expressing his love for Xing Si in very unhealthy way. The years of stalking, the beating up his friend, the drunk scene, ? is not good. I really hoping his character grows from this and become better person who will be good partner for Xing Si. Xing Si is precious so he deserves to be loved properly.

I don't understand why this season is getting this level of hate... Yong Jie is clearly a deeply depressed human…
I love main couple from beginning. I think they super cute. The whole exploring of BL was super funny scene. They are so cute together. I look forward to their relationship the most.

As Yong Jie and Xing Si, they are definitely interesting coupling. I totally understand why Yong Jie fell in love with Xing Si. Xing Si is a total sweetheart. He is precious cinnamon roll. I am hoping Yong Jie will learn to express his love for Xing Si in healthier way. He definitely has a lot to work on but I do not think he is complete lost case. He could be redeem and be good partner for Xing Si.

the comments are making me want to avoid to avoid this instalment with a 10 foot pole, this may not be for me.…
Honestly i wouldn't be surprised. This show is definitely exploring troubled relationship with stepbrothers. Its intriguing for me cause i really want to see how they gonna make it happen... if they do. History is not aboving doing sad ending.

One thing i am gonna applaud the show for its that they are not romanticizing Yong Jie actions. They didnt use the dubious consent scene as means to start the stepbrother relationships like previous bl drama has been known to do.

Xing Si who is Yong Jie's love interest hasnt swoon at Yong Jie. When Yong Jie admit to hitting his friend, he scold Yong Jie and had him apologize. When Xing Si was made aware that Yong Jie plan that drunk scene, he got very upset and smack him then procceed to ignore him.

So the show is making it clear that Yong Jie actions are not okay. Its not way to win over your love interest.

If you like only fluff or wholesome relationships then i wouldn't recommend this drama but if you are okay with show exploring dark character love interest but also owning up to the fact that his actions are troubling then this show is definitely it

I don't know why so many people think Yong Jie is so troubled to the point of needing therapy. Albeit, most teenagers…
This is what I am talking about. Too many people keep brushing off the red flags and chucking it up as trouble teen or cold personality. Then get some surprised when they hear news about that person shooting up a school or killing their obsession.

The drama shows us that Yong Jie has been stalking Xing Si since 2010. He keeps a several folders of his pictures in his computer. Okay let just brush of the stalking bc that never leads to anything bad (cough john lennon, christina grimmie etc cough), then he made a plan to beat up Mu Ren bc he was too close to Xing Si (choose a place where he would be alone and there wasn't gonna be a camera), nope nothing to be concern here, then he deliberated plan to get Xing Si drunk so he can have sex with him as reward for his birthday.

Yea, Yong Jie is just a bit of trouble young adult. Yong Jie is just "having a bad day".

I like Yong Jie character because he is different but I do not make any excuse for his actions. He has issues. I acknowledge that, I am hoping the show will make him into better person.

I think the mom is a saint. She is handling the situation between the guys with a straight-forward, non-freak…
I also do not believe the mother knows the full extend of what Yong Jie did at hotel with Xing Si however, I do think the mom should be more hands on with Yong Jie. Yes, she is being supportive that her son is not only gay but has the hots for his stepbrother but she is not really being a good parent for him.

I am talking about his behavior in general. He admits to doing problematic stuff like planning an assault on someone, but she doesn't do much about it. The whole conversation about his plans for Xing Si and himself seem a bit much. Like I feel she should have discourage it a bit and I am not talking discouraging his feelings for Xing Si but having Yong Jie plan his entire world around Xing Si. That is not healthy.

I think parents should really have sit down with Yong Jie and get him therapy. He needs it. I really want to see Yong Jie character grow from this and become a better person.

I find MR to be facially stunning as well. And that long neck! And that thick, gorgeous hair! :D As for the rest…
I also agree. He is gorgeous. I seriously love his hair. He is bit too skinny for my taste too but his face makes up for it. His clothes is always on point. You can tell he has model experience.

It is the first time that I see one of the protagonists of the series being practically the villain, he really…
I know right. Most BL dramas, the male leads are mostly nice guys who very charming in their own little way. This is not what I thought I was signing up for when I watch the first episode but I would be a liar if I said that show doesn't have my undivided attention because of the direction they choose to go with second couple. Its different. I like it. I really want to see how they going to take someone like Yong Jie and make him be romantic lead... if they do it... this is history afterall, he may have unhappy ending. Either way, I am ready for it.

I love the main couple so at least, I will get a happy ending with them but I am not sure about the second couple. Xing Si definitely deserve better than Yong Jie.... though I have seen many shows where the bad guy becomes a better person for the person they love so who knows.

Say if they met at an older age and was never raised together, ok, good. But then there's that whole non-con bedscene...…
Yes. I 100% agree that Yong Jie perception of social norms is limited or non-existent. I am willing to take it even further that his character may have a personality disorder (dust off my psychology textbook and tv criminal minds knowledge).

Normally having a cold personality is not problematic but Yong Jie character is even at the point where his own mother said that Yong Jie treats people like carbohydrates. There is cold personality then there is Yong Jie.

I think that Yong Jie may not understand that what he is saying (and doing) is problematic. He admits to things like premeditated assault on someone, deliberately getting his brother drunk so he can do him, etc like he is talking about the weather not criminal acts. He is smart that he has sense of awareness of the law (made sure to hit Mu Ren where there was no cameras) but it doesn't seem to think that they would be consequences to admitting it to his family or Xing Si.

Though thinking about it, I can see why he would think that. His family has done nothing to really help him with his issues. They just let it go and brush off red flags.

Like when he was telling his mother about his plans for Xing Si and himself, she doesn't even blink and act like that whole conversation is normal and doesn't seem to think that Yong Jie unhealthy obsession with Xing Si is a problem.

Yong Jie is literally revolving his entire world around Xing Si. His choice in school is because of Xing Si, him saving money is for Xing Si. Do not even get me started on the fact that both of them did not even put into consideration Xing Si feelings into this plan.

His fixation on Xing Si is unhealthy. If the drama plans to have them become a couple, they going to need to address his unhealthy obsession with Xing Si.

Based on the next preview, it seem like Xing Si will do so. I am so ready for it. I find that Yong Jie is a truly fascinating character... yea he isn't prince charming and show is definitely is not playing it off like he is some charming guy that people should be swooning for but I like that they are willing to explore characters like Yong Jie.

Yes there is a lot toxic topics in the show. Yong Jie is definitely not a wholesome character. Though the show…
Mm I am not sure... all the advances that Yong Jie did, he seem bit unconformable about it. Like when Yong Jie touch his face, you can see he was bit weird out by it. Then at beach, when Yong Jie put sunscreen on it, you can see he was weird about it again.

mmm but then again, maybe he was weird out by it because he was getting turn on by it?? who knows, i guess we have to watch and see.

As for Yong Jie, he definitely would need a redemption arc to be slightest bit likeable. He has a lot of mental health issues. He sees Xing Si as savior, his world etc which isn't healthy at all. He needs to work on himself before he can provide Xing Si any kind of happiness. He is hot mess right now, I would not want Xing Si to be in relationship with current Yong Jie. Xing Si deserves better and hopefully Yong Jie will truly apologize for his actions, stop with manipulation, and other toxic behaviors.

I do not think Xing Si is CEO. I believe he is just the director for his dept. I also the other guy is Vice President of the company so Xing Si couldn't fire him especially if Mu Ren is not willing to fight the case.

As for Mu Ren, everyone goes through trauma differently. Some people go see therapist, some act like it didn't happened, and some try to move on from it very quickly so they don't have to think about it anymore.

Mu Ren reaction is not surprising for me. There is no normal trauma response.

It was a dream. Its in the details. Mu Ren was naked prior to getting into the bathtub. Also the clothes Mu Ren was wearing looks different so unless he had outfit change in his pockets, it was most definitely a dream.

As for Xing Si, I think he cares very deeply for Yong Jie. He is pretty good brother and I do not think he was thinking about Yong Jie in that way prior to Ep. 6.

Remember the conversation that Yong Jie had with his mother, according to Yong Jie, Xing Si believes his family doesn't know he is gay. Xing Si is running away from his family finding out about that.

Even after that scene happened, Xing Si is consumed with guilt. He doesn't seem to be showing any signs that he is feeling guilt about having feelings for Yong Jie but that he (which is ridiculous) influenced Yong Jie to become gay.

At least this is my thoughts.

I believe Xing Si is not interested in starting relationship with his stepbrother. You can have feelings for someone and still not want to purse a relationship for many reasons. I am sure later down line he may want to but right now, he isn't.

Yes there is a lot toxic topics in the show. Yong Jie is definitely not a wholesome character. Though the show is not romanticizing any of it esp Yong Jie's actions. He got hit, rejected, and ignored. So I won't say that his actions thus far has reward him with anything. Even now, Xing Si is not in slight bit interested in pursing any romantic relationship with Yong Jie.

As for what the show is going to do with his character, we do not know. He could be redeemed and become better person who is worthy to get Xing Si love or he can get sad ending. History franchise is not above that cough MODC cough.

As for the bathtub scene, Licheng dreamt that. He didn't touch him. He was just there.
