Yes jdramas are SO underrated around here. And love your list and totally agree that Hana Yori Dango is the best version of the story, they had the best Makino ever.

Maybe try N no tame ni if you like crime, mystery, romance dramas. It was one of the best jdramas I've seen in a while. Also Kaseifu no Mita is really good and reminds me of Kazoku Game.

I think Kiritani Kenta is way underrated. He has some leading roles but I wish there were more and in longer 10 episode dramas that will be subbed. He was really sexy in W no Higeki and was hoping he would get more lead roles after that.

Also think Kashiwabara Takashi is underrated. Wish he would return to jdramas in a leading role.

I love Kekkon Dekinai Otoko and its dry humor and understated comedy.

I think Nemureru Mori (Sleeping Forest) did a really good job with the amnesia plot. They made it really creepy and mysterious.

Grrrrr man fuck this! I loved gooddrama! I can't believe this! Where am I going to get my jdrama fill? There's plenty of sites for korean dramas but Jdramas don't have many sites. Viki and Dramafever offer a small selections while gooddrama offered so much more. Going to miss them :(

You should watch him in Shining Inheritance he plays such as sweetie in that show.

The Crucible is one of the most soul crushing films I have ever seen. It makes you truly disgusted about humanity. That being said, it is a very good movie.

Yay for a jdrama centric review! I love kdramas but I can go to dramabeans to get a review on them whereas for jdramas I don't see many blog-spots concentrating on them (well that I can find at least).

So true. Plus I honestly find Japanese songs more memorable than the songs from Korean dramas. I know the names and artists of everyone on this list with the exception of one.

Odagiri Joe is fucking HOT! He's also a very versatile actor. I hope he's in more dramas as the lead so I can see more of him.
