Lol the comments here are quite intense. Regardless, I'm glad I decided to watch this season, because I'm really enjoying it. I'm not surprised there's less action, because I doubt a short season could have handled any more story lines, and it makes sense that it's become more focused. Can't wait till the next episode!
It's not a big deal to me, but the timeline in the drama seems off. Taehee lost the young patient Joonho, then…
I was thinking the same thing with the military... unless they mean he actually worked in the military? But that would be weird, too, timing-wise. The doctors might have got their gossip mixed up, I guess 😅
The way Netflix forced LGBT+ aspects into the drama because it is a Netflix original. And that everyone clapped…
I think I can understand your view that painting a rosy picture of what might not be a rosy situation can be unsettling (although I don't know enough to comment on Korea itself). But, there really is something to showing aspirational representation in media, e.g., Dennis Haysbert as a black president and Will & Grace demonstrating a public gay kiss. When people are able to see something and see it being accepted or unquestioned, they are more likely to come to accept it themselves, because it becomes normalised. Also, relying on public displays by LGBT+ people themselves to increase tolerance and acceptance means they have to continually put themselves at risk - displaying such scenes on TV or in movies comes at much less of a risk.
Moreover, for those who face discrimination, it can be difficult only seeing themselves represented in media that is sad or depressing (and a lot of LGBT+ media is incredibly depressing). Why can't they have nice things, too?
I loved this season way way more than the first one; not because of the male lead, but because of yumi’s growth…
I totally agree, and I feel passionately Team Yumi. She's not a perfect person, because no one is, but in this season she worked hard and strove to achieve her dreams and a sense of happiness that ended up coming from internal, not external, factors. Bring on season 3!
Tbh I don’t think she’s evil. She had a baby when she wasn’t ready and seemed like she only kept the baby…
I agree with this. I don't think it's evil not to want to have a baby, and she only had WYW because WYW's dad persuaded her. They, as adults, both knew what would happen
