Was it good?
I’ll start out by saying that the male love interest’s acting is incredible and brought the story up from “cringy and stupid” to “I-actually-want-to-know-what-happens-next.”
There’s a problem, though. You might be asking, “which male lead?” I’m asking the universe, PLEASE GIVE ME LESS MALE LEADS!! I’m not one for love triangles, and this story was a love pyramid. And the love pyramid was 🤢 and yet, it was what the whole story revolved around. So the worst part of the show was also the plot mechanism. In other words, that which was driving the plot, was actually ruining it - so much so that the drama would have been better without it. Yep, take 75% of the show out and you actually have something good. That’s how I would describe this drama.
However, this directive makes it really easy for those who don’t care about watching the whole thing ans just want to watch the good parts. Just watch the scenes with Taek Kyeon and you’ll have a stellar drama at your fingertips.
