Title My Youth
I agree with many of the comments here. This drama is highly underrated, it deserves at least an 8.0 rating. It’s so refreshing to see such a well written and well acted show. I do not find it slow at all, the time flies by when I’m watching this. I find it so interesting how many of these characters grew up together and how the bad decisions of the adults greatly impacted their lives.

This is a great post, I agree with everything you said. I also didn’t understand all these comments saying “they have SO much chemistry!” I was thinking am I watching the same thing these other people are? I didn’t see much chemistry at all. I think a lot of these people just said that because they wanted to see them together for whatever reason even though it made no sense. I also agree that some people see two attractive actors together and just assume they have chemistry.

I dont get it I loved the ending it was MATURE and RealisticThis drama is NOT a ROM COM So if you look for romance…
I agree with nearly everything you said.

A few things:

1. I see people complaining it should have been 16 episodes. Many of these episodes were 75-90 minutes in length, so in a way it was like 16 episodes. Most dramas that have 16 episodes are usually an hour.

2. This show was NEVER supposed to be about romance!! I really am sick of people trying to push this. It was very clear the ML was not ready to have a romantic relationship, especially with someone who is a subordinate that he supervises. The ending of the show was perfectly done. The romance tag was added a third of the way into the series mistakenly.

3. While I enjoyed this, I still feel it was not as good as The Good Partner. I give this a 7.5 overall score.

This episode reminds me how happy I am to live in a place where you can choose to end your life if you develop Alzheimer’s/Dementia. The thing that upset me the most was that the husband got jail sentence for going along with his wife’s wishes.

At this point I think it would be best if they broke up. He’s likely going to the U.S. for college anyway. I’m sure I’ll be crucified for this, but I’d have a very hard time being with someone who was changing sexes back and forth too. Sorry but people are attracted to what they are attracted to. You can’t force it. Unless you’re bi, this type of relationship would be very difficult.

I really don’t think it would matter a bit if he said those things to her. She won’t give up. Clearly she is a sick and disturbed person. She needs to be in a mental institution.

That's why sometimes men should know how to set boundaries with women who are interested in them. Because often,…
I’m sorry but Yun Jae has made it very clear to Min Ju that he has a girlfriend. I’m tired of people blaming Yun Jae when the fault lies with Min Ju. I don’t really think it matters how many times he tells her she isn’t going to listen. If he uses physical force with her he’ll be arrested and charged with assault. It’s really a no-win situation for Yun Jae.
On My Girlfriend Is the Man! Aug 22, 2025
I can’t believe I’ve wasted so much time watching this series. I’ve never watched a show that had so many annoying characters. Park Yun Jae is an absolute saint. He has to deal with not one but two crazy women. First, his nutty sister. How many times does he have to tell her to knock before she enters his room? I’d have put a chair in front of the door so she can’t get in. Of course then she’d probably scream at the top of her lungs. Then, she is always in his business sneaking around his room looking for things, and to top it off she’s a total a hole.

Then there’s Min Ju. My god what a horrible person. She goes off on some guy following her but then she does the exact same thing with Yun Jae, like WTF? And people bitching about Yun Jae not setting boundaries need to get a grip. Is he supposed to grab her by the neck and shake her and scream in her ears “STOP PURSUING ME!!!!!” She is an adult for gods sake but acts like a toddler. She seriously needs psychological help.

As for the rest of the people, mostly over the top crazy acting with a flimsy script. I’d rate this maybe a 5.0, but I’m being very generous. Avoid at all costs!

I agree with everything you said. Yes I did watch this and I enjoyed it very much. I’d probably give it about an 8.5. I liked the interaction of the lawyers and how they have lunch together and discuss their lives and cases. I knew it was going to be a slice of life type of drama based on the first few episodes, and that’s exactly what it was.

It seems some were disappointed by the lack of romance. I’m not exactly sure what they expected, like “One Spring Night” or Something In the Rain”? I really don’t know why. It was at the heart a law drama, so most of the focus is going to be on that. I really think some people expect romance in everything anymore which is really ridiculous. Not everyone wants to see romance, and there are literally hundreds of romances available.

No it isn’t a stretch at all. I see posts here with different usernames that look like they are the same person. Too many of the comments are like “This is boring!” or “this is awful”. I’d be willing to bet they didn’t even watch it at all. There are a lot of people who are so obsessed with shows they register 10 or twenty different accounts just so they can try and bring a score down or up. I stand by what I said. The scores in this site are absolutely worthless and I don’t trust them at all.

I'm probably the only one who liked it all till the end, all the characters and sub-stories and found it joyful…
Honestly, I think there are a ton of trolls on this site who just make some of these crazy comments and give really low ratings just for attention or to feel superior. I have a suspicion there are people with multiple accounts who rate a series really low because they have one that they love and they can’t fathom that another show has a higher rating than the one they love, so they create a bunch of accounts and give really low ratings. I honestly don’t even pay attention to ratings on this site for those reasons.

I do agree a few of these cases are somewhat over the top, but I could still see these happening in real life. The child abuse case in particular happens a lot more than people realize.

Anybody thinks we will have a romance in this series? Not like mentor/crush but a romance between man and woman.
Many people insist there will be but I have my doubts. I think a lot of people are setting themselves up to be disappointed. One thing that makes me laugh is when I read “oh I love how she gave him a handkerchief for his hand, that was so touching”!! Uh, the guy was bleeding. Of course she is going to use the first thing she can get her hands on to stop the bleeding. It just so happened to be a handkerchief he gave her. Saying they’ll have a hot and heavy love affair because of this is quite a stretch. The same with the coffee talks, nothing special here.

I will watch it when it's confirmed that there IS romance cus I'm already disappointed with law and the city.…
That’s not true. There was romance between the two main characters when they first met in Hong Kong and then again later. Was it a dominant part of the show? No, but it was there. It just wasn’t as much as you wanted. I still don’t understand why people watch law dramas expecting large amounts of romance, there are literally hundreds of dramas out there(romantic comedies, period dramas, fantasy dramas, etc.) that cater to this. If you skip this just because there isn’t a full-blown romance you’re missing a great show, but that’s on you.

Yeah I agree. This is about the power dynamics with him being her supervisor, but I think office romances in general are a bad idea. I’m retired now after working in my field 37 years. I saw my fair share of office romances that ending very badly, to the point where it affected the rest of the office. I remember one case of an intern who got involved with her supervisor, and he ended up being fired. She was transferred somewhere else.

You’re not going to get much if any agreement here. There are a huge group here obsessed with them having a romance. Not sure why you would watch a
law drama for romance, but whatever. For me, it’s not so much about the age difference as the fact that he is her direct supervisor which makes this totally inappropriate with the power dynamics. In the real world, this would be a total no-go but this is television. I seriously hope if it does happen, they keep it in the background and continue to focus more on the actual cases.
