I think some of the hate seems to stems that some people are not fond of the ML. And some assume it's only doing…
No worries! š Many have the impression that this is his 1st ML after years of acting, so I try to share the fact that KSH is widely recognised (at least within the industry it seems) to be ML material since the start of his drama career. Even though he only debut in k-drama in 2017, he was already a ML in 2018. In 2017, despite only auditioning for supporting roles in The Strongest Deliveryman & Two Cops, he was offered the SML for both dramas. This is a nod to his acting skills and how Start-up PD handpicked him for HJP role goes to show his newly attained fame is not a fluke. So I don't understand the hate & blame he is getting at all.

Just want to point out that this is not KSH's first lead role. He was the ML in Catch The Ghost (2019) and You Drive Me Crazy (2018). As well as one of the 3 ML in Waikiki 2 (2019). No doubt, much attention is given to HCCC, being his follow-up drama after his meteoric rise from his HJP character in Start-up. But credit has to be given to all cast, crew & writer for making this drama successful (so far).
Guys the FL and male lead clearly like each other but the ML is obviously friend zoneing the FL, she tries to…
Putting myself in ML's shoes, I'd feign ignorance too. FL was the one who cautioned him that they're incompatible. He's just saving her from embarrassment by not divulging what she did when drunk. I think even if he was honest about the incident, she would have shun him still. Because she herself is not convinced that they are right for each other. Plus the ML is not ready to let someone in his heart. So burying the whole incident was the best option.
Yes you're right! She was trying to protect herself from getting hurt.. But then again i still think she should…
She brought up the social position disparity even before she remembered she kissed him when drunk. So it wasn't because she fears rejection or getting hurt. She genuinely thought she should not & could not get involved with someone like dushik because they are not compatible. And honestly, that's a pretty natural train of thought. Two persons with similar interest & goals should last longer together than polar opposites. But I agree the way she delivered the message was disrespectful. She could have just said their personalities are too different to be compatible.
Maybe people are confusing the term "understanding" with the term "accepting". I understand why she was treating…
This is my theory, so please take it with a pinch of salt. I think Dushik is drawn to Hyejin because he sees his old city self in her. He knows she's a kind person inside after seeing her tend to Ijun's tooth & convinced Gamri Haelmoni to do the implant. However she places so much emphasis on material gain and status, something perhaps he himself did last time and has come to regret it. So he empathise with her and could understand her conflict. I don't think he realises he likes her romantically yet but him being Mr. Fix-it, he wants to help her rid of her obsession over status and wealth because he doesn't want her have the same regret he has.

Thank you for taking the time to pen your thoughts! Interesting read :) I'd say the drama is 60-70% of the movie. The characters are definitely more fleshed out in the drama. Hyejin & dushik also appears more relatable. The movie did not explore dushik's missing years, so that allowed more free play for the drama writers.
Wondering if the reason behind having 3 chaās in the title is becauseCha: sounds like car, tea , ( canāt think…
The PD mentioned in an interview that the drama is more about the people in the village rather than just Mr Hong as in the movie. The Chachacha is with reference to the dance which is performed by multiple people.
It's going to be ....so hope for not a toxic love triangle atleast
I think the SML will be more of a catalyst for the 2 main leads rather than a hindrance. Sure, there'll be misunderstandings, but I think it'll be more comical than angsty

Dropped after one episode but again, like someone else wrote we all knew that it would be a low key slice of life…
I'd say episode 2 was better than episode 1. But still it is a slow burn slice of life drama, so may not appeal to everyone. Hope you find another drama you can enjoy!
