Oh Kwon Do Eun... I remember after I finished Search: WWW I went to look up what else she’d done cause I loved…
Hello! I did the reverse, after watching 25/21 only I watched WWW Search. Can’t really compare the two but you will surely see they were from the same writer - both were written well. BUT 25/21 destroyed me. Maybe because I am a huge fan of both Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri.
Same! I will watch anything she writes - and will keep on open mind whatever the ending will be.

I have never invested emotionally on a KDrama as I did with 25/21. I woke up early weekend mornings to watch and re-watch every new episode aired. I even re-watched episodes 1-13 after watching ep-14. I again re-watched with my 24-year old daughter to get her opinion.

I am not going to enumerate how beautiful the show is. The weekly episodes are titillating to the viewers, roller coaster of emotions. The ‘whispers-while-on-the-beach’ scene made me giddy then laughed so hard when the kids were preparing their dinner. But the best scene thus far, in my opinion, was the ‘goodbyes-at-the-bus-stop’. Few words were said but such a powerful delivery - can’t stop my waterworks. These, for me, are scenes that stood out.

I am HEART-BROKEN because of its ending and I still can’t get over it. BUT it gave me the sense why the title is called 25/21.

My wish is to see more of them on either a mini series or a side story to explain few loose ends based solely on my own perspective.

1. What was the situation when Yu-Rim returned to Korea from Russia. Did she struggle? Remember, they won’t even serve her food since she was branded as a traitor.
2. Did Seung-Wan and Yi-Hyun ended up dating? What is their love life about. I think Seung-Wan need to have her own story besides being just the genius of the group. This will be another level of connection within the group.
3. From the bus stop scene(on Yi-Jin’s way to NY) to Hee-Do’s reading Yi-Jin’s entry in her diary in the present time, there seemed to be a huge resentment on Hee-Do’s side. The hug and goodbye did not serve as closure? In that case, she still has feelings for Yi-Jin even she’s already married. Did she marry mainly because of convenience?
4. There seemed to be a deeper reason why Hee-Do’s mother is the way she is. Or she plainly does not have any maternal instinct?
5. Explain the relevance why both Hee-Do and Eomma went to the hospital together?
6. Did Baek Ye-Jin marry?

To simplify Baek Yi-Jin and Na Hee-Do’s relationship, it is a story of “first love”. BUT despite their young age, they served each others’ pillar during the most emotionally difficult time of their lives, especially for the 22-year old Yi-Jin. Young 18-year old Hee-Do served as an inspiration while she herself is growing up. That is a depiction of ‘one great love’ - that cannot be easily forgotten. True, nothing last forever, but I am dying to see their love continue in the present time.

This series is WRITTEN SO WELL and executed gracefully by the cast. I want to remember it as one of the BEST series, to date. It delivered a LIFE LESSON OF LOVE - IN DIFFERENT FORMS.

Lastly, if by some miracle that there will be a follow-up, please RETAIN THE CAST. The chemistry of Nam Joo-Hyuk and Kim Tae-Ri is SUPERB! The chemistry of them 5 is just a bonus. Even the character of Kim Hye-Eun blended well.

Although BITTERSWEET, thank you for giving us a wonderful show.
