Lmao my boyfriend and I just broke up and I think this kdrama was made for me. But I really didn't expect I'd relate until the ending because this is just a chill rom-com.. I'm wheezing! I was so mad because I'm already heartbroken so I needed them or even just Yumi to have a happy ending!!! Thankfully, I found out that we have a season 2.
Also, I really love the animé part. I thought it would bore me out but I fell in love with the cells! They are so adorable uwu
watched this bc of JCW... but her mother’s scenes had me ugly crying. i usually get lazy around ep 10 onwards with kdramas but here, it just gets better and better
Am I the only one who got annoyed to Yeon? She was such a liability that I got so happy when she died. (That was my first time being happy when a lead’s loved one died. I am sorry) She did nothing but cry, fall down, and accidentally bang her head on edges.
I like the plot but the stabbing scenes are just unbelievable. I know sageuk leads can get stabbed severely but it’s too much in this drama. Esp in the beginning of episode 15, when Seon Ho stabbed Hwi and his sword even penetrated. After that, he was still able to ride a horse, fight, and ride a horse again to follow injured Seon Ho. Hwi didn’t even feel weak. I have my limits too on how much they can fool me. Hehet
Also, for those who didn’t get to watch Six Flying Dragons, did you guys understood their political problems completely? There were so many names mentioned but they didn’t show them. I feel like I wouldn’t completely understand it if I didn’t watch SFD. I hope I’m wrong :D
Anyway, I love Hwi & Seon Ho’s bromance, the OSTs, & Hwi’s squad is so solid!
The only problem I have is the convenient arrival of all of the main characters when one was endangered, and the…
I noticed this too. I know sageuk leads don’t die easily. But when Hwi was stabbed on his stomach and it even penetrated, he was still able to ride a horse, fight, and ride again a horse to follow injured Seon Ho(ep 15). He didn’t even feel weak. It was too much. Minus points for that :3 also, seon ho truly has 9 lives
Great story, amazing actors, beautiful cinematography, OSTs, & wardrobe!!! Couldn’t ask for more for the ending. Definitely my new favorite Sageuk couple (Prince & Chaekyung) This drama deserves more recognition!
Decided to still watch it despite the negative reviews bc of my love for ahn hyo seop & park bo young. First episodes are honestly kinda overwhelming.
But it gets better! didn’t expect i’d be in love with the story! It really amazed me on their ways of discovering something about the killer. And I love how this drama is balanced. After a tiring day of catching the killer, sweet moments would happen.
All actors are great too. I really appreciate actresses of Hee Jin & true Mi-do.
why is this kdrama playing a lot of osts from other dramas as a bg music when they're in a restaurant/shops... it's my first time seeing a kdrama like that haha
I laughed too much in this drama. But I’m so mad at some of the next ep previews about Jiwon & Sungmin bc it wasn’t really there on the next ep. They never showed it. Huhu
I am so bothered with the ending bc they had so many hardships and Grand Prince is still alive??? I don’t think we can say that this drama had a happy ending bc Grand Prince is still alive & he even became the king. Esp in sageuk dramas, people who hide always come back. Like what if a thought would come to GP someday “Nokdu is still alive. He might come back & take the throne. I should find & kill him.” I feel like their life is still going on somewhere(lol @me) and what if he bothers Nokdu’s beautiful life?
Also, the last episodes were kinda stressful for me bc the scenes are stressful already and I have no idea what Nokdu is thinking. It also affected me so much bc after all the bond Nokdu and the King had, nothing changed with their father-son relationship.
Anyway, I would still recommend this drama. The story is great overall (not just so satisfied with how they solved the conflict). I like the leads chemistry and they both act well. And I am so amazed that the male lead really looks like a girl when he's pretending to. It wasn't awkward at all. I would believe it too if I was there. It's always been a girl pretending to be a boy bc it's really hard for a boy to really look like a girl but they really did a great job.
First 20 minutes and okayy that was weird... it was like intense scene-breathe once-intense scene on repeat. Stopped at 40mins. Idk... everything that is happening is crazy. Esp knowing that the lead is Jang Nara and the scenes are kinda brutal, it’s so weird
Can I watch this without watching the "Reply 1994"? I have watched reply 1997 though
Reply 1994 is good too! I think it’s the funniest and their bond there is very heartwarming too. You should try since the director & writer are the same. It has the same vibe but not connected. (+You’ll see 97 gang there as cameos)
Also, I really love the animé part. I thought it would bore me out but I fell in love with the cells! They are so adorable uwu
& i also enjoyed all of their piano performances :))
