Well... It's quite simple really in dramas with chaebols.
Money+power.
Dong Ju doesn't come from money (as far as we know) and he doesn't have powerful connections or a powerful family (we don't know his family's background yet or anything about his past really, we only saw a nun he calls "sister").
I mean, of course he's smart and educated and he sure gets good money from his job but in the eyes of the FILTHY rich, he can't compare with those in their world. Obviously, that's total BS since he's a brilliant young man but those hyenas only care about putting money in their pockets and making alliances through marriages to gain even more power.

We're only at episode 3 but this is already the best K-drama of 2025 so far for me.♥️ I love everything about it. It keeps me at the edge of my seat throughout the episode and leaves me begging for more. 🥺🙏
I absolutely love Dong Ju. ♥️He's got everything I want in a ML. He's smart, he's quick, he's strong, he's unforgiving, he fights for what he wants, he's a survivor no matter what and one step ahead or his opponents. 🔥I don't mind that he wants the FL back. I'm not like other people who hate her to bits. She's on a revenge path herself for her father's death but she clearly loves Dong Ju.
The ending of episode 3 has me biting my nails in anticipation. CAN TOMORROW COME QUICKER?????? 😭😱
PS: How hot was PHS playing the violin in that tuxedo???🥵He's so beautiful in this drama, sometimes I stare at him without paying attention to the subtitles 🥰😻😍😝

This was never advertised as romance-centered anyway. Not everything needs to be all lovey-dreamy. This is a revenge story.

Loved the action scenes. 💥They reminded me of "Taxi Driver". I definitely detect chemistry between the ML and FL. 👀Idk how she does it but this particular actress just clicks with every ML I've ever seen her with. She's SO good. I'm sure I'll love this pair as well 🥰
