Just curious... is there any romantic subplot or something in this drama? does the male lead have a love interest…
One of the two dead girls was ML's girlfriend but he was the only one with the sincere feelings.
There's bromance between ML and the cop who's also a main character.
ML has developed a friendship with one of the female characters but so far it's not romantic between them.
One of the other female characters is obsessed to a sick and dangerous point with ML but he doesn't love her like she wants him to. He never did and he never will and that's driving her crazy.
hey I didn't get the 1 year scenes post accident of master jang how they (seung jo and jang) remembered each other…
Honestly, you're absolutely right in having so many questions. There are a lot of plot holes.
Especially the one concerning how Master Jang knows Seung Jo. I mean, the dude referred to him as "hyeong" and after regaining his memories, Jang said he absolutely trusted in him. I mean?????? When did they ever interact before???? Why didn't we see it, are we only to assume they met and Jang took a liking to the boy and Seung Jo got inspired to try and live a human life??? That annoyed me. I'm supposed to understand a bond I never saw developing.
Lady Maeda just wanted to torture Jang because he could never love her. She was in love with him in a toxic, obsessed kind of way so whatever made him unhappy, she did it. Killing his loved ones, making him immortal, dangerous and alone was a way of punishment. Same for Jang. He showed her he didn't even care enough to kill her, that's how much he ignored her existence.
If you mean the creature in the new lab/prison, it probably got moved in time. Can't see it being captured by the police.
Chae Ok probably lost her memories like Jang. When the Najin got out of their bodies, they remained amnesiac. I guess, if she were to ever get a Najin back, she'd probably remember everything. Although the ending made me think she recognizes Jang and they're gonna get together again.
The cop said he'd help the grandson get light charges so perhaps he's serving some time in jail or there's another arrangement because he's a special case. The halmoni probably adopted Chae Ok since she didn't have anywhere else to return to without memories.
I'm on episode 5 and while I love it so far plotwise I have one major complaint of the technical nature.
WHY. SO. DARK???????π
I swear, I can't see faces, expressions etc during night scenes or scenes inside buildings with low lighting. π’Which unfortunately happens more than half of the time. And the action at some points while impressive, it's so damn fast I can't see who's hitting whom or what moves they're using. I just know they're fighting, that's it. Every time it changes to daytime or scenes from 1940s/50s you'll hear me whisper "Hallelujah"!!!
Anyways, I'm enjoying what I'm seeing and hope we get a nice closure. On to episode 6 π
Wtf was that ending ?πsomeone explain !!!! I was rooting for my guy his also sipping the psycho dululu
I think perhaps Su Oh liked Da Eun from afar and saw her like Snow White. He probably took her body, cleaned it, changed her clothes and built her a "glass" coffin like in the fairytale... I GASPED at the sight, I didn't expect this twist at all π±
Episode 7: I had actual TEARS of laughter!!! My friend and I laughed so loudly, the entire neighborhood must have heard us π€£
I love this drama because it's different from everything else currently airing. It can be both hilarious and serious, it can be light but also sad. The duality is perfectly balanced and I love it β€οΈ
I really tried giving episode 2 a chance but I can't watch anymore. Boring story, flat characters, mediocre acting by otherwise wonderful actors and actresses. Have fun(?) y'all, if you decide to stick with it .
Your comment doesnt make sense. Obviously it will be all about her just by the title
It makes perfect sense because I explained she made me feel like all air was gone and nobody else was present. A drama can focus on one character and still include secondary characters in a balanced way.
The drama name is literally Dear Hyeri. Its FL centred. The MLs are supporting cast around her
Even if one character is the focus of a drama, others should be heard. It was like there was no one else in the entire episode. If the main focus of a story is on a character that suffocating, I guess it makes it unwatchable.
I can't believe I was so excited for this drama to air only to watch one of the worst premieres of all time...
The episode was so boring and frustrating, I was counting the seconds for it to be over??? None of the characters are likable, only the SML a bit. The FL is taking up all the space, I felt she was the only presence in the episode and her second persona was just too annoying and overdramatic.
I guess I'll watch another episode but I'm not willing to be too patient. I'm actually sad because I love the cast... π
Y'all... If you liked Hyeon U's character in this drama... I'm watching "Pale Moon" right now and he's one of the main characters. I actually started watching without knowing he's in it, mostly because I like the FL. But OMG... You're gonna see something COMPLETELY different there... π³It's age restricted on Viki. I'm on episode 3 and it's really good. FL might be twice his age but the chemistry is amazing. Give it a try!! Things are really spicy between them π
Preeeetty sure I saw the girl playing Bo Yeong in today's episode of "Pachinko".
Anyways, speaking about our drama, apart from the fact that I want pretty much everyone to die except for our brave boi Jeong U, his buddy cop Sang Cheol, sweet Ha Seol and innocent Su O, please SOMEBODY BEAT THE IDIOT COP. Not the chief, the one who keeps screaming all the time and tries to cover up his ass. The AUDACITY he has????? I hate him so much, he gets on my LAST nerve. I want to slap him across the TV. That village needs its own separate prison for all the criminals living in it.

Seriously, why is this drama's rating still at 8.3?!?!?! IT'S EASILY A 9!!! π₯
