What a wonderful series! I loved Toshiko from the moment they introduced her character. She was so understanding, genuine , real and one of the few characters that supported Atsuzo from the beginning. She believed in him when no one else did and was portrayed so beautifully by Kuroki Haru. I have to admit, I didn't really fall in love with Atsuzo's character in the beginning, This is not to say he wasn't awesomely acted by Sato Takeru, I just couldn't abide by some of the things he did when he was first starting out. However, once Toshiko gets sick, you see how much Atsuzo really loves her. This was the highlight of the series for me and it was only achieved by the marvelous acting of Takeru and Haru. I was bawling when he explained to her what je t'aime meant. Every scene between them was truly magical.
A really wonderfully acted drama. It wasn't too long or too short. All the characters were fleshed out and was just an overall beautiful drama to watch. I recommend it.
What an amazing drama. The acting was just phenomenal. Everyone 's acting was great but Jung Kyung Ho, Yoon Hyun Min and Kim Yoo Mi were stand out performances. I see Jung Kyung Ho in a whole new light. I can't imagine anyone else playing his character..
Can someone explain the ending to me? did he commit suicide? or did he go prison?.. I really don't like open endings..
From the way I understood it, he decided to not give up on life and go to prison. That was why he emptied the gun in to the sky. When he was yelling at the end, it was because he knew the journey was going to be hard and he didn't want to give up on himself.
I watched this under an alternate name "Maundy Thursday"... It's been a while, but it made a mark in…
Completely agree. I finally watched this movie after putting it off for so long and it did not disappoint. I definitely won't be able to forget this film.
