Worthy of a binge
I watched this out of nostalgia for the first season even though I barely remembered the plot. It was fun to reacquaint myself with the characters without the personal burdens attached to them. The story was decent enough, I liked the political aspect to it, however, the plot was a bit too dragged towards the end. I found the villains and antagonists interesting to watch, the detective moments were nicely blended with seriousness and humour. The lovable callbacks — especially OJH’s money bits —were funny. Overall, great acting from everyone. I wish we had gotten to see what actually happens to the main villain in the end, but they left it open ended. I’m guessing that she doesn’t actually serve time and is let off due to her psychological state. But I wish they had focused on this a little more instead of dragging the story in the 9-12 episodes. Another thing I wish was focused more was Ji Hyeok himself, he was almost more supportive in the role in this season. I would love to see another season despite all the faults.
