Several of the comedy series I am watching are ending this week. Sadly most are being followed by suspense/melodrama/action type dramas that I am not interested in watching. I really hope this one gets subbed, so I have something good to watch.
Not to disagree with @efforescenteloquence and @Bongsookie because what they say is true. This is a Crime drama first with a Scifi twist. The relationships in a story are the most moving parts for me, though. Since we have 2 more episodes left, I can only say so far this drama has only shown unrequited/unconsummated love. I personally find that kind of love very romantic. I would also say that while there is a lot of betrayal there are also a lot of Bromances going on too. I loved how intimate the relationship between Park Hae Young and his team leader is. It is a bit hard to describe but I would say it is the intimacy that cops feel with their partner. They have to trust each other with their lives, so it is total trust, total respect, and total loyalty.
Based on the descriptions/synopsis I have seen for this drama I was not expecting this! Kpop Harry Potter and the magical martial arts university. luckily I am into it. The special effects are good. So far I am really liking it. I am wondering if the two together are what broke the seal or just Shi Woo.
I don't get ANYTHING of the synopsis.................................. it' a mess Could anyone review this for…
The first 8 episodes tell the tragic tale of a married couple who after the loss of their only child are having marital problems. The husband has a young protege that has a one sided crush on him. The protege takes this opportunity to come between them and seduce him. The wife has a twin she does not know exists. The twin sister's husband was murdered for being a whistle blower (This greedy corporation is a big part of the later part of the drama) and is on the run in fear for her and her unborn child's lives. In the process of running, she coincidentally switches cars with her twin. The wife now in her twin sister's car, is run off the road and loses her memory.
Episode 9 fast forwards you 4 years. The husband is returning to Korea with Seoul Ri the homewrecker. He regrets leaving it like he did with his now ex-wife and misses her, but is in marriage talks with Seoul Ri's family when he meets his wife (Hae Kang) again. Only Hae Kang believes she is Yong Gi(her twin) and has lived the last 4 years happily in the home of an amazing man named Baek Soek(who also happens to be related to Seoul Ri). Baek Soek is in love with the Hae Kang but she does not want to give into him, afraid when her memory returns she will find she has a husband and children.
This is where the action starts. Her ex-husband becomes obsessed with the woman that looks identical to his ex-wife Hae Kang but goes by a different name(Yong Gi). Hae Kang has feelings for Baek Soek but is drawn to her ex-husband. Seoul Ri tries to keep the man she stole with any means. The real Yong Gi comes back to the country to get treatment for here daughter who is ill, but she knows if certain people know she is back in the country, her life will again be in danger. There is an adorable storyline with the doctor who treats her daughter. Hae Kang has to find her memories and decide who and what in her life to protect.
26 episodes and I still don't like the lead couple :( I mean I like both of them individually, I have been following…
I agree with you Afisii. I know that Eugene can do well, but there is something off with this pairing. I also love Lee Sang Woo. I am so glad someone else mentioned this. When she was hugging Oh Min Suk in the scenes before her wedding, I thought Wow! She has more chemistry with her on screen brother than her on screen fiance'. Not that I thought there was sexual tension or anything like that, just the hug seemed more natural and her smile seemed more genuine. When on screen couples do not have chemistry, I always wonder what their off screen relationship is.... That said.. I just noticed AmastrisDratwka is right! If you compare their still pics. He does look so much like her husband. That would be sooo awkward. Especially since she started dating her husband after playing an on screen couple with him.
Honestly, if my husband were to cheat on me there would be no second chances. I don't think I could overlook that…
I agree that there are serial cheaters, but not all people who cheat do it again. It really depends on why they were cheating. Cheating is not always a trait, but sometimes it is just a symptom. In this case it is definitely a symptom. His wife had never told him that she loved him and she let him grieve the loss of their child alone. He is clearly an emotional guy. He would have needed some emotional support after the loss of his child. It is not surprising when you look at that, that he would become weak when someone came into that situation and told him everything he wanted/needed to hear.
- That said,I can not forgive Seol Ri for taking advantage of the situation to steal another woman's husband. I can not forgive her husband for not understanding that she was someone that lost a child too, and that she was dealing with it in her own way.I do not forgive him for not stopping the relationship with SR when HG jumped off the bridge. If he loved her as much as he says he does, watching her try to commit suicide should have been enough to bring him back to his senses.
I am team Baek Seok because her happiness is a priority. He is willing to give her up, if he thinks it is what she wants.
Her husband's priority is how he feels, he drug her into his family and life, even though it was not the type of life that would make her happiest.
I am loving the Doctor/Yong Gi story line. I Love Baek Seok. I realize that Hae Kang's husband was grieving and anger toward his wife was part of that. I am willing to understand him slipping up by cheating with the Delusion self-centered home-wrecking heartless selfish adulterous immature jezeslut sociopath teen. I have a much harder time understanding him not only divorcing his wife but leaving the country with the Jezeslut sociopath for 4 years. I wish Hae Kang would realize what an amazing loving life Baek Seok gave her compared to the life she had before and fall for him.
I couldn't wait and I watched E11-12 without subs! I'm so sad that JungHwan is trying to hold back his feelings…
Based on the previews last week, I was afraid that was going to be the case :( Where are you watching Martina? I have been watching on Drama Fever and when they list the new episodes, they are already subbed.
Where is this available to watch? I tried looking it up on Viki and Dramafever. I may have typed in the wrong name to search by but I didn't have any luck finding it.
