Ohh, I don't know if they make changes to the original novel or not, but the original novel is not like this synopsis: Ji Bozai had never fought with Ming Yi; she was poisoned before the tournament in that year (the year that Ji Bozai arose and was going to join the tournament to represent his city). I also hope they change the ending (in my opinion, it was a bit boring). If they can cut it to the end after finishing the tournament it will be quite interesting.

I'm not sure it's a part of variety show or drama, but that spin-off title is Brilliant Galaxy. They just finished shooting it recently. A variety show is an entertainment program that features a mix of different acts, such as music performances, comedy sketches, dance, and interviews. While shooting this spin-off show, I saw only 4 main cast members from this drama. So, I think they're going to give a happy ending version of Miao Miao and Ziqi in this show again. For example, to put it as a variety show or drama, you can see The Story of Yanxi Palace and Yanxi Palace: Princess Adventures of Wu Jinyan. It may take 1 year or months to wait for that spin-off show based on the episode they would like to add and distribute license.
I saw last week team LGIEF go to take a spin off. I'm not sure that spin-off will focus on the storytelling or just give a vacation for the team due to their success. If they focus on the story, this drama is going to give us a wonderful ending.
Many comments complained that this drama supposed to be 36 or 40 episodes while also criticizing the current 32 episodes is messy and boring😂 I saw this drama is moving gradually from one episode to other all along , also in each episode have one or two secrets behind that have revealed. Some people not satisfied with the scene that Ruoshi found out Ziqi was his elder brother , don’t forget that consort Zhao familiar Ziqi identity since their fist meet also Ruoshi himself remembered Ziqi since he saw Ziqi’s hairband.Roushi mentioned that he had already investigated it.They just didn’t mention how they investigated it and it was not awkward at all because base on schedule they will mention consort Zhao and resentful women who seems to be Ziqi’s mother again.Additionally, Ziqi himself never care about his true identity.From ep 21 to 24 and maybe 25 26 as well they just want to focus on main leads and second leads cp relationship ,This is the character improvements part of each novel and drama.Although, it’s not meaningless at all due the flow to the main plot is straightforward gradually.
