The characters of Ka Suo and Shi are largely based on the story book. Just that the script writer added more storyline to it as the book did not have much details. The book is about the brother-ship between the two brothers and how Shi do anything just to give Ka Suo the freedom he wanted including giving up his own life. In the book, being the prince who will be take over the throne, Li Luo is supposed to protect him, thus it looks as though Ka Suo is weak but actually he is also powerful but as the book goes, Shi is more powerful than Ka Suo.
Reading the comments here is really an enjoyment. The comments really focus on the drama and is unbiased, just voicing each and own opinions. So great. No news about the mortal world yet but I guess will be soon else the fever would have died. Somehow I think you all like Ice Fantasy more than most of the China netizens.
Wow 62 episodes, is it good though? Thinking about watching it.
So far there isn't such a type of drama where it is a bit more Western fantasy but in Chinese version. I like it, though sometimes irritated by the draggy love relationship between the two leads but that is at the beginning. After the fourth episode, things sort of got in place. You can watch it but do it with an open mind, not to be dissuaded by small imperfection here and there. It is quite a different type of drama. I will think the producer (it was his dream) is brave enough to try such a type of drama.
Some people are saying it will be continued, but I can not stand it 60 episodes of Ka Suo.
there will not be a second season just the modern short version on the net. It is too costly to film this and the ratings in China is probably the lowest I have come across to encourage a second season. Though I am not from China, I am so glad you all guys/gals love it. I really wonder why the Chinese audience shun the drama and find all faults with it just because of the author.

He likes her, I am sure, to what extent, I do not know, but definitely to the extent that he is willing to listen to her and stop when she begged him, and protect her when Flame King wants to kill her and to the extent that he will put his life down for her as well. This is a drama that I like all characters though I could not bear the wishy-washy of the drama in the beginning. But I love Shi and Yan Da most. Hopefully the modern version has a happy ending.
There will be a short series (a few episodes only) of them in the "human world" and thus dress in modern clothes. But I understand it is shown only on tencent (not TV) and the focus will be on Ka Suo and Li Luo, something about their seven lives. There will of course be Shi and Yan Da. Though yesterday's ending was sad, I still like it because it is more memorable. Based on the book and what transpired throughout the drama, it will probably be sudden and illogical for Shi to say he likes Yan Da more than a friend. But his smile when he sees the firework when Yan Da dies tells all. All about how close Yan Da is to him and how important as well.

I am watching purely because of Ma Tian Yu. I read the book because I know he is acting in it. The book was not bad and he portrayed it well. Just that the book has very little details and some illogicality so the script writer changed it quite substantially. Your worse scenario may come true, I think.2 more weeks to go. Sad ending makes people remember, maybe.

maybe you should not watch it anymore, if you are very concern about the relationship between Shi and Yan Da. Else you may end up hammering your computer later because I don't think the ending is good. LOL.
