i don't get how they so easily believed Hae-young killed Chi-soo. like do you really think someone who works as a detective would do so poorly at covering up his crime AND call the police when he found Chi-soo? he's clearly not stupid, so why is everyone else there so stupid.
Did she die in the end? She was shown still swimming in the sea.
she drowned. the swimming scene and the cheering represented her goals to start over, which is why she wanted to learn to swim, but she never got to do that
The problem is the culture of compensating the victim by the criminals instead of holding the latter accountable.
what are you talking about? the 'former' would refer to the victim in your sentence, the 'latter' would be the criminals. so who are you saying needs to be held accountable?
i wonder if they're setting it up for a 3rd season or a spinoff series, because it feels like the main character's arc is over, but they clearly are trying to set up a new future plot based off of the ending scene with the prosecutor
they're not even comparable dramas, why do you care what others are interested in? i enjoyed AiB more as well, but that doesn't mean SG wasn't a good drama either. and SG had way more international success, so of course more people are waiting for it
i liked it, i think they could've gone into detail more about some things, and not rushed the ending, but overall it was good. it would be cool if they made a second season focused more on I-Na and Nu-Ri growing up
i don't get how everyone, especially a'jiu, are too dumb to realize his "aunt" isn't his aunt. like dude she changed her outfit, her powers are a diff color, and she acts like a bitch now, clearly something is off. you'd think a'jiu would at least realize that
Is this drama refering to Ancient Love Poetry or is it a completely differend story? Are Bai Jue or Shang Gu mentioned?
it's a direct sequel but they changed the names of any characters from ALP that are mentioned, there's a discussion link that lists the characters from ALP that are either mentioned or in TLI and their new names. baijue is called dijuan and shanggu is called yihe, among other names being different, the only name they kept the same was yuanqi. baijue and shanggu don't physically appear either
there are references to stuff that happened in ALP, but this drama can be watched on its own without having seen it (although i think it's best to watch ALP first since it makes a lot of situations make more sense)
